We got stranded in Barcaldine recently with floods, so got to dine at this cafe. The food, coffee, staff were all good and it has a pleasant atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. It was interesting watching the silver perch migrating up the flooded gutters and it’s only a 10minute walk up and down the Main Street taking in the many interesting historical sights and information plates.

What a great café! We stopped here for lunch on our travels (twice!) and the staff, food, and coffee were really fabulous. They stock a range of goodies from indigenous artists, home made pickles, and a few other bits and pieces. The story behind the café is worth reading too. Totally recommend popping in if you are in Barcaldine!

This place is fantastic! The food and coffee were both delicious, and came out really quickly. They have gluten free bread and chips, so you have a wide range of choices. They also have a cute little gift shop. Love this place, will definitely be coming back!

OMG, asked twice whether lattes would be served in a glass and was told they would, turned up in mugs. The look I got when I asked for a glass was precious. Also asked for a cake that the label said was from Wednesday, I was ordering on Saturday, who serves 4 day old cake. It was so stale I fear it was from the Wednesday before. Do these people understand that we are doing them a favour by spending huge amounts of money on overpriced fuel to spend money in their communities. We are doing them a favour it’s NOT the other way...

Hubby and I had a scrumptious breakfast of poached eggs, bacon, grilled tomatoes, baby spinach and toasted sourdough. Bliss! They aren't stingy with the bacon either like many places. You can eat inside in air-conditioned comfort or outdoors. Service is fast and friendly and there's also a variety of beautiful hand crafted aboriginal items for sale. So pleased we stopped in. It's opposite the info centre in the side street. You can browse over your brochures over brunch. Big...

The food ‘amazing’ - so why such a poor rating? Research shows that head banging music is NOT conducive to the wider customer population. Especially at breakfast! In this case the music was so loud that you could not hear the squeaky little voice of the person serving and our request to turn it down was not well received & only partially attempted. How about some nice relaxing music to improve the dining experience. I left...
