Update 2024: Merry Christmas po. Their empanadas are the best Filipino empanadas I’ve ever had. The pastry is perfect, not too thick or dry. The filling is abundant and full of flavour. Delicious! I should have bought more. Love this place!
This is modern Filipino food at its best. An unassuming storefront introduces you to an inviting, homey and welcoming cafe run by Mimi and Irma. The environment is like a warm hug from one of your Titas! The food was simply delicious. I ordered the crispy pork belly with pickled papaya and rice. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and paired well with the pickled papaya and rice. The standout dish for me was the beef burger steak rice with mushroom sauce. The beef burger steak melted in your mouth and the mushroom sauce was creamy and luscious. The ube crumble shake was a sweet treat and the halo halo topped with crispy pinipig was absolutely perfect on a hot day. Service was attentive and friendly and very quick. I wish there was a Mimada here in Sydney, I would definitely be a regular! Mimada also have an extensive range of ensaymadas, with flavours such as pandan de coco, ube crumble, Oreo, pistachio, biscoff, as well as bibingka plus ice cream flavours like ube, strawberry cheesecake, rum and raisin and unicorn. If you love Filipino food or if you want to try it, you must dine at Mimada! It is one of the top Filipino...
Read moreA very nice and cozy ambiance very chill and inviting, owners were very hospitable to everyone coming in at store. Food was good and for us the portions were generous enough. Aside from that when you guys visit don’t forget to have a takeaway of their Ensaymadas! It’s one of the best around Perth! My family usually buys a dozen everytime they visit. Very recommendable!
We ordered: *Soy Glazed Chicken Thigh Fillet (chicken was well marinated and juicy, size wise it was pretty decent for the price of the meal. It was good!)
*Lemongrass Porkchop (Wife really liked her porkchop, same with the chicken it tasted good as well not your typical bland porkchop that you usually buy somewhere)
*Mais con yello (this one reminds us one of our comfort street food dessert at Philippines! Perfect for warm weather today)
*Mango Graham Caramel yello (another street food dessert at Philippines! Very comforting from time to time, the sweetness was...

Been craving some native food from our motherland, and we ended up discovering Mimada—what a gem! The place is warm and cozy, instantly reminding me of my lolo’s home in Northern Luzon. It had that comforting, familiar vibe that made us feel right at home.
Now, the food? Easily the best Filipino food we've had in a long time! We've tried plenty of Pinoy restaurants, but Mimada left the biggest mark. Their ensaymadas were not only delicious but also looked like playful little treats—real eye candy! And don’t get me started on the gelato—super creamy and full of flavor.
We ordered the tilapia and crispy chicken, and both dishes were outstanding. The servings were generous and definitely worth the price. Of course, we had to try the halo-halo—and it did not disappoint. Yummy yum yum indeed!
So glad we found our go-to Filipino spot. Mimada, you’ve made this homesick heart very happy. We’ll definitely be...
