Oh Boy, went to Binna Burra Lodge for my 70th birthday because we had such a lovely experience for my 50th as well as many other stays. Was dissapointed to end up having to eat in the Cafe along with noisy family with the loudest video call that reverberated right throughout the Cafe for atleast an hour. The food was nothing like the beautiful authentic meals we had in the lodge that burnt down. Stayed in a Tiny Wild house that was truly wild throughout the night. Thought we were going to blow off the cliff so didn't get much sleep. Thought maybe a dining room atleast was going to be available for people who had paid to stay in the units and not for all and sundry. Just hope when the new lodge is built it will go back to the more authentic Binna Burra...
Read moreGroom’s Cottage at Binna Burra is currently closed for renovations (as of mid-2025), but it’s one of those places well worth the wait. Before it closed, it was a peaceful, character-filled stop nestled right in the heart of Lamington National Park.
Even though you couldn’t stay overnight anymore, it was open for visits — with a cosy stone fireplace downstairs and a quiet upstairs library that overlooked the forest. The whole place had this old-world charm and deep sense of history that gave it soul.
Looking forward to seeing it reopen in the future — it’s a special part of the Binna Burra experience, and such an important link to the heritage...
