Blumberg Bakery & Takeaway — Restaurant in Birdwood

Quick service, staff were friendly.. Ordered chicken pie large coffee and a chocolate doughnut for my mum, as well as a bacon and cheese pie large coffee and a chocolate doughnut for myself, my mum and myself absolutely loved our pies, mum enjoyed her coffee, I thought my coffee was nice but would not go out of my way for.. But here's why I could only give the one star, I took one bite of my chocolate doughnut and spat it out, it was just drenched in oil and that is all I could taste, mum picked up her paper bag with the chocolate doughnut the bag was wet from oil, took her doughnut out it to was drenched in oil. She also only had one bite, both the chocolate doughnut were chucked in the trash.. how the heck do they not know the condition of their food, and sell such rubbish.. Shame.....

Customer service was appauling. This short dark haired girl who was not wearing a mask was so rude on a couple of occasions that I walked out, stating she was an absolute rude b...ch. I was deciding over a sausage roll and after about 15 seconds she says. 'Well hurry up'. That was the last straw. My family, friends and I will not be purchasing from your shop every again. And I wasnt going to purchase just a single item. I had my family of 5 asking for savoury and sweet. Also drinks and bread. The other bakery got my business. My adviser to her, quit and dont work in customer service again. You should be ashamed...

This is a fantastic Bakery who are the only local Bakery to offer take away of an evening up here, except of course our pubs. Their chips are absolutely delicious, I an fussy with chips too. Nice & crunchy, perfect amount of salt, proper serve. Their fish was definitely approved by the family. The lamb yiros is delicious, soooo much meat in it & not too fatty, a lot of good quality lamb.
