Bonny Hills Beach Hotel — Restaurant in Bonny Hills

We (four of us) had just arrived at Brigadoon holiday park in North Haven after a long drive south, set up camp and were looking for somewhere to eat.

We called up the Bonny hills hotel and Trevor from the hotel promptly picked us up from the holiday park and took us to the hotel, during the transfer we had many questions for Trevor with regards us heading to Perth to which he had some valuable information to help us on our trip. He knows the best local fishing spots too 😉

On our arrival we were warmly greeted by Erin working behind the bar who asked us how our day has been and promptly served us our order of drinks from a wide and varied selection.

On asking about food Erin pointed us in the direction of the chef's specials and menu's. Whilst looking at the specials board the chef came over to greet us, asked how we were and informed us in detail what his specials were.

We placed our order for steak salad and frites, lamb cutlets and two chicken snitzel.

The steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare) with a wonderful sauce, the lamb cutlets were done in breadcrumbs which came with again a different but equally tasty sauce which perfectly complimented the lamb. Both chicken snitzel s were made short work of....

On finishing our meal Trevor took us back to the holiday park and again was very helpful with us asking for more information regarding our future travels.

The food was very disappointing

The food was tasteless and under cooked. Kids spag bol looked like something you’d serve to a dog. Staff were not friendly at all and acted like it was a chore for them to serve you. The family sitting next to us also complained their garlic prawns weren’t cooked. So the kitchens solution was to Nuke it for a few minutes…..

Owner of the Beach hotel, Despite your allegations I did eat there first hand with my family on Tuesday night at approximately 6pm, So it was personal experience, and not that of others. We had salt and pepper squid that was undercooked. Mini nachos that was soggy and tasteless. Kids spag bol that was also tasteless and bland with undercooked fettuccine pasta instead of spaghetti. Coincidentally the couple adjacent to us, also were not happy with their meals.

If you would like more info regarding our experience I’m happy to have an amicable conversation with you to help better explain our experience, and provide you whatever feedback you need. But trying to belittle and calling a customer with a bad experience a “disgruntled customer”, is certainly not the professional manner I would expect from the owner of a hotel. Nor does it encourage other unhappy patrons to come forward… it is simply feedback from a customer that didn’t have the nicest dining experience. Feedback is what you asked for, feedback is...

Somewhat disgraceful. Had a child with me for meal early on in the evening and contacted bar staff for advise on the "public" courtesy bus at 6:45pm staff were courteous and advised me that bus would be able to run in about 20 minutes. Waited 20 minutes and again queried bar staff . They advised be another 15 minutes which was fine. 15 minutes later I again enquired to the same staff member who advised me that he had "know idea 'cause he'd knocked off' and then went behind the bar to pour himself an ice cold schooner and commented on the appearance of an young lady who was also at the bar,

I then spoke with another bar staff person who diligently grabbed a "courtesy bus" booking sheet who advised be that the next bus was at 8:15pm.

Somewhat relieved I cautiously waited for the bus until 8:15pm and then was advised that the bus was full and that it would be sometime before it was available again.

Somewhat concerned I approached the bar staff and told them that I would no longer be requiring the bus that I would walk the 8km home.

My personal experience urges me to recommend that this place be avoided by families particularly with children and people who do not like imbeciles.

In my opinion their are much better places in Camden Haven to spend your money I would recommend anywhere else, including Camden Haven Waster...
