Still scratching my head that this took place. Waited at the sign that stated wait here to be seated, my wife and i must have stood for 5-10 minutes waiting for one of three people to attend. Finally a young girl who really didn't want to be there told us to take a seat, there was really only one table as the others hadn't been cleaned. We were given a menu at 1.49pm and the young girl walked past us continuously with out acknowledging us. At 2.15pm i went to the counter and had to wait for someone to ask what we required, we were told the meals ceased at 2pm and "i should have come to the counter to order "even though this was not intimated to us at the time nor was there signage saying so. They attended really didn't seem that concerned so we left hungry. We drove 40 minutes because it was recommended. Avoid.
I see you completely ignored any of the issues i had and put it all down to being busy or not booking before. Being totally ignored for over 25 minutes when it was not busy is just not acceptable. I think you need to revaluate customer service. My wife felt the same way as i did. Second worse dining (actually lack of) experience i have had in...
Read moreA peaceful and shaded location to enjoy a quality meal and relax with friends. We arrived today (Tuesday) at 12.30 pm, and the cafe had about 20 patrons in it. We were given a choice of where to sit, which was nice, and we chose to be in the outside roof covered patio area, which had a delightful cool breeze and an elevated view over the dam. I had the pumpkin salad, which was amazing, and my friends shared a chicken burger and beef burger. The meals are suitably sized for the $22 - $23 price. The burgers came with a side of 'fiercely defended' chips. I note this cafe is for sale, so if you're looking to immerse yourself in this local community, this might be the opportunity for you. I encourage you to visit this cafe next time you're here on holidays or just passing through. Enter through the nursery, and enjoy the nursery again on your way out. There are lots of nice plants.... Cafe: 9/10. Did I mention the...
Read moreFamily breakfast at the Bonny Hills Garden Cafe during a 9 day driving holiday through Mudgee, Katoomba, Grose Vale and Lake Cathie. Very impressed with the wonderful service and the quality of the meals. We had breakfast which started with an excellent coffee, and then a freshly cooked and beautifully presented meal. The ultimate verdict from our family - this would have to be "the best meal we've had on our holiday". The cafe sits inside one of the best nurseries as well, so allow time for a stroll through an amazing selection of quality plants and landscaping materials. Thank you to the lovely attendant taking our orders at the front counter, and credit to the chef in the kitchen (your talent and passion certainly reflects in the quality of the meals). We will dine again next time we are...
