Soul Cafe and Wine Bar — Restaurant in Bordertown

After an overnight stop in Bordertown, we arrived at 8.40, just after opening time for a coffee and quick breakfast before heading out of town. Unfortunately it is Mother's Day, so they were booked out between 8.45 and 10.30am. We were told we could sit at the fully exposed outdoor table. I explained that we would not stay long, but no, it was outside or not at all! We each had a lukewarm coffee and massive bowl of toasted muesli with a couple of chopped strawberries and a dollop of yoghurt, outside in the fog and 11° temp. When we left at 9.10 only 2 of the indoor tables were occupied !! Poor service to not be willing to offer us one of the tables that was clearly booked for well after 9am. But luckily we are...

We used Soul Cafe to cater for a function at the Bordertown RSL last week. The food was so good. Yummy homemade sausage rolls and quiches, a range of salad-filled sandwiches and wraps, and delicious peppermint slices and melting moments. Soul Cafe kindly delivered the food warm to the RSL in boxes ready to be served. We also had a few lunches (paninis, dumplings, vegan tacos) and coffees at the cafe while organising the function. The coffee and food was delicious. Thank you so much Amanda for all your help with the function and your wonderful food. We highly recommend Soul Cafe....

I ordered a cappuccino and smashed avo with 2 poached eggs. I got the coffee in good time (and it was very good coffee) however I waited over 45mins for the simple breakfast to arrive - after the waiter being prompted twice,

It arrived one hour after I ordered it, and it only had one poached egg that was hard boiled! The avocado was ice cold like it was straight from the fridge.
