Meraki Whitsundays — Restaurant in Bowen

My partner and I had cakes a few times here, we found the cakes were quite dry and stale. I tried egg benny with avocado & mushrooms today. It came out with half an avocado without sliced and had some black spots on the surface. It didn’t bother me until I flicked it over and see it was quite rotten and gross inside 🤢🤢 I returned the food and it came back with the same plate but they just scooped the old avocado out and replaced with a bit of better avocado that was cut into big pieces and one of the pieces still looked pretty old☹️ I also had a bit of egg shell while eating one of the eggs….. BYW my friend who came with me saw one of the staff came out from kitchen was chewing food. Quite a poor...

Food ordered: Loaded brekky burger, flat white with almond milk

Service was good and they seem to enjoy what they do.

The burger was as expected (a fancier version of bacon and egg roll), they didn't overdo it with the hollandaise sauce and the proportions were easy to handle. The only suggestion being that I would have preferred the egg yolk to be runny to add to the flavour.

Coffee was fine considering there's not many cafes around here. They use bear bones coffee and milk lab almond milk. I guess I appreciated the two shots in medium size compared to a single shot at the other cafe...

Meraki Whitsundays is literally the heart and soul of Bowen, the best food and coffee in our gorgeous costal town.

Mandy and her staff go above and beyond. Always catering for my dietary requirements and needy kids.

Service is always quick and kind, food delicious and fresh. I have not had a bad meal there once!

If there is anything I ever need or what (gluten free substitution etc) the team are always more than happy to help! Now with the Meraki On the move coffee van, you can literally chasing a Meraki fix any day!
