I really wish I could give Gusto's a higher rating because we have ordered here previously and been very satisfied with their service and quality of food, and because we love to support local businesses. Unfortunately, our last two experiences have been significantly sub-par and incredibly disappointing.
We placed an online takeaway order on 10th March at 6:22pm for a 7:15pm delivery. We were notified that there would be a 30 minute delay on the order due to the restaurant being very busy (it was shortly after ex-tropical Cyclone Alfred and there were many power outages in the area) - we were very understanding of this. 35 minutes later (7:50pm), we called Gusto's again and were assured it would only be another 20 minutes; at this stage, we were getting hungry but still willing to wait. Finally, when we called again 25 minutes later (8:15pm), we were told the pizza had just left the store. The order finally arrived around 8:45pm, even though we only live 5-10 minutes away. At this point, the owner apologised for the delay (it was now 90 minutes after the requested delivery time) and as a sign of goodwill, offered us a store credit to use towards the same order another day.
On 23rd March, I called Gusto's at 6:05pm to redeem the store credit and was told it would be minimum 90 minutes for delivery because there was only one driver available. Anticipating a 7:30-7:45pm delivery, we agreed to this. At 7:50pm, I called to see where the pizza was (and to actually offer to drive out and pick it up ourselves, given how close we live) and was told it was "literally going out the door" and that we were the only order that needed to be delivered. Given this, we expected the pizza would arrive by 8pm. The order ended up arriving at 8:20pm - if we had known this was going to be the case, it would have been faster for us to drive out, pick it up ourselves and drive back. To make matters worse, the pizza we received wasn't even the correct order.
When I called Gusto's again to advise them of the error, I was told that the supervisor was in the bathroom and that I couldn't hold for them. Instead, I have had to request a callback from them later in the week. We are very understanding people but to have two consecutive experiences like this is very disappointing. We also understand that it's not necessarily the fault of the front staff (i.e. driver or waitress) so we were always polite and tried to be understanding where possible, but clearly the underlying systems in place are not working reliably - there is no tracking available and while we get restaurants can get busy, but if you tell a customer it will be only "x minutes longer", there should be a commitment to this; and certainly, as a customer I should feel like I'm being strung along.
Ultimately, we cannot imagine having to go through a third experience like this. Therefore, we cannot in good conscience recommend Gusto's or reorder from them unless changes are made to their...

Iāve been a loyal customer of Gusto for a while, but my recent experience was incredibly frustrating. I specifically ordered the Funghi Formaggio pizza, which is clearly listed as a vegetarian option on the menu. To ensure it was indeed vegetarian, I even double-checked before placing my order.
Yet, to my surprise, the pizza arrived with chicken on it. As someone who strictly follows a vegetarian diet, this mistake is not just inconvenientāitās a serious issue. Itās very disappointing that a trusted brand like Gusto would overlook such a critical detail.
This error violated my dietary choices and caused unnecessary distress. I expected far better care and attention, especially as a loyal customer. Unless this is addressed and rectified, Iāll be rethinking where I order from in the future.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can not rate this experience highly enough, i ordered the tucker through an uber eats app (knowing there are extra uber fees) the head honcho gave me some free advice about ordering through their website as it is cheaper, i tell you what - I would gladly pay the extra fees anytime - the food was unexplainably magnificent. So brilliant I am making up words to describe how great it is, every-time i think about our order - pizzas (Ham/pineapple+supreme+meat lover) and their pasta (Spag Carbonara) oh my god I can smell and taste their work. Don't deprive yourself. Massive serves fed our large family twice! and the left overs were even better because off the flavours that magnified. 5 stars isn't enough. I am feeling like licking the computer screen as I am salivating so much, and i ordered my feed a few days ago.
