Review for people with sensory issues, anxiety and noise sensitivity. This place is fantastic. The food and drinks are great and the service is excellent. The staff are friendly and welcoming. However, if you are sensitive to noise and get sensory overload I highly recommend avoiding this place on the weekends or when it’s busy. There are hard surfaces inside and noise just bounces off the walls and floor. There’s nothing to dampen the noise and it actually hurt my ears to step inside on a Sunday morning. It’s also on that very busy main road so you’ve got road noise as well. If you’re like me and have issues with noise then take your headphones or avoid during busy times. During week days this place is nice and quiet and it’s lovely to sit inside. But my ears still hurt from stepping inside and hearing the...

Today was my second visit in a week and this place did not disappoint one bit! Fantastic coffee ✅ iced macha latte that you can even adjust the syrup?! ✅ Although I did not take the photo of the first visit, the miso mushroom toastie and the ham and cheese toastie were both delicious And the macha dessert and butter raisin sando melts in your mouth Also, I really appreciate them having filter water. I think that adds to why the coffee tastes amazing. And the staff are soooo friendly although it was extremely busy during Sunday. The only small downside was the parking space in front of the cafe, but if you are coming, just pass the parking space and turn into the street and there are plenty of easy street...

Loved our 1st visit to Kimino. Started with a Macha which was made perfectly using high quality macha powder. The baked goods were fresh and delicate too. Tried the miso mushroom toastie, crispy and the mushrooms were delish. Finished up with two different pots of single origin pour over coffee. Flatmate reckoned it's the best coffee he's ever tasted and I'd be inclined to agree. Can truly taste the quality and freshness, almost impossible to find black coffee that tastes as light and rich. Loved the minimalist style of the interior and there was plenty of seats. Owners were very welcoming and took the time to answer questions about the menu and provide reccomendations! Will be back...

For a very long time I’ve wanted to go to Japan for many reasons. One of those reasons was to sample the increasingly popular coffee culture there. Having been to KIMINO this past weekend with my family, I can safely say I’ve sampled this experience. It’s clear that the team at KIMINO have taken the time and effort to bring a taste of Japan’s cafe scene to Brisbane with its Japanese inspired cabinet and its exceptional range of coffee. V60s are notoriously difficult to find here. Even more difficult to find good V60 coffee—but KIMINO have nailed it. Great service and warm, relaxed atmosphere. We will 100% be back.

Minimalistic cafe in the burbs. The raisin butter sando was delicious. Iced matcha was to my liking - they offered Japanese brown sugar syrup too if you prefer it on the sweeter side. There are few seats in the cafe- it's ideal for small groups. I had the canelé takeaway and it was crunchy on the outside and light on the inside. They also sell ceramics and coffee. Would recommend if you're into matcha and for a light snack/ dessert.
