Venue has great atmosphere and decor was nice and authentic.
The man who greeted us (seemed like the owner or manager) was very nice, professional and dressed the part. Rest of the staff seemed nice and very fast, however some forgot to smile while others appeared to be all over the place. We received service from a total of 5 people through-out our visit (we were a party of 3).
Alcohol menu appears to be permanently incorrect. When we attempted to order either Pinot Gri or the Grigio, we were told they don't make them any more 🤔 we settled for a different Pinot Grigio which was nothing to rave about.
The food was unfortunately disappointing all around the table. Expensive for what you receive and all the dishes were plain in taste.
For entrees: The Lahanodolmades (cabbage, rice rolls) were very plain in flavour and covered in a plain tomato sauce.
The Saganaki (pan fried cheese) came out as a melted blob of plain cheese on a hot oily plate.
The grilled octopus was cooked nicely, it's unfortunate the flavours around it didn't enhance the dish.
For mains: Kotopulo Sto Fourno (baked chicken) had 1 chicken leg with a few potatoes and veggies, cooked correctly but again, plain in flavour.
Prawns with salad was expensive ($34.90) for 6 prawns, very plain salad and 1 scallop.
The Spanicopita which reads as a 'pie' on the menu was basically like Woolies spinach and feta triangles which were also very plain in flavour served with plain salad.
This restaurant has all the potential, unfortunately the flavours need some improvement.
Unfortunately we decided to go elsewhere for dessert after paying about $178...

After reading all the great reviews we are so very disappointed, we had to triple check we were at the right restaurant.
Customer Service was shocking!!!:
Our waiter, the owner, was very rude making disrespectful comments about our family and our heritage, multiple times during the night, to the point we almost left half way through with out paying.
A message to you, (feel free skip ahead if your not him). Please stop and take a moment to think about what you say, before you say it. While I understand running a restaurant can be stressful it’s not a good taking it out on customers and staff.
You make your staff so nervous they were actually seating us at a table before you stepped in deciding to check our reservation for the third time and seat us at the same table they where about to seat us at.
And the three lovely ladies at the table next to us were not laughing at your comments when you walk away, they were clearly uncomfortable and like just trying to have a nice dinner out.
Food to avoid:
The dishes we had are mostly cover in strong lemon flavour and I like lemon, and made it was the dishes we order but it was to much.
-Chicken and lamb skewers were tough and dry. -Beef stew was mediocre, again tough meat with over cooked microwaved potatoes. Pita bread seemed either reheated or baked yesterday
Food that should be a safe bet: Lamb cutlets tasty and melt in your mouth Capsicum dip was good really needs a larger bowl Sanganki definitely the one to look forward to, well prepared and great flavours.
Finger crossed your experience is...
Read moreSadly, this is the worst Greek we have ever eaten and serving sizes were ridiculously small. We purchased the family pack (for four, apparently) but it didn't even feed two of us and a child (and we are not big eaters!). I feel embarrassed for them that they are serving such flavourless food, particularly their dips; sticking our noses into the containers, we couldn't even smell anything either!? No smell, no taste, no flavour and they resembled mushy baby food. The very small containers of dips had less than two tablespoons each of dip inside, which was so disappointing. The salad, as well, was so basic and flavourless (we counted eight tiny green mixed lettuce leaves with the smallest amount of feta cheese, six olives and five half tomatoes. The small container of salad was not even half full. The meat was tender but lacked any real flavour and was so far from being able to fill us two adults and one child. This was ridiculously overpriced and not at all satisfying. Embarassing for them, at best. The man on the door making inappropriate comments about guests' teenage daughters and wives was a bit hard to listen to. Please do something to lift the flavour in your dishes and, whilst I know things are tough in hospitality - financially - if your menu says it should feed four people, it absolutely should feed four people where they feel happy and satisfied afterwards. Having travelled to Greece often and having a good bunch of Greek friends in Melbourne and Brisbane, I will not be going back to Lemoni for...
