This is what fielders call a 250g steak. Everyone I’ve shown agrees it’s lucky to be 150g. For $36 bucks mind you. I had eaten here for 2 years prior to this meal and the meals have always been exceptional and LARGE. Now they have changed their menu, to only serve pork roast, instead of rotating between pork, lamb and beef. All meals have gone up significantly, and reduced in size noticeably.

When I went and queried the size of the steak, I was told that they always weigh the size of their steaks before cooking them, and they reduce as such due to the juices….I’ve cooked plenty of 250g steaks medium rare and they’ve never reduced to the size presented to us and justified as being 250g.

Halfway through our meal, the same waitress I asked about the size of the steak came and asked how our meals were - which obviously we said we were not very happy with. She again proceeded to tell us how they weigh all their steaks etc and being pretty condescending. I honestly don’t understand why you would come and interrupt our meal when you already know we are annoyed, to carry on about weighing the steaks and try to prove to us that we are wrong and they haven’t ripped us off. If you don’t have a solution to the problem - don’t bother coming over.

Very sad, as we loved coming here regularly when mum and dad were in town. But for $36 go over the road for a slow roasted lamb from the Greek restaurant! Way...

First time eating here. The place looks good. I only ever knew it as the Workers Club in its day, so I was impressed. I had the schnitzel, which was disappointing as it wasn't fresh. Looked like the one you buy from Woollies for a couple of $. My friend had the Calamari & liked it. Went back the following day & took hubby who had the Rump as they had no Rib Fillet Saturday or Sunday. Bad ordering stock. I thought I would have the Roast of the Day, but again, they had no roast either. I tried the Crispy Pork Belly with a Jus. The skin was crispy, but the meat was dry & overcooked. Veggies were nice. The Jus just tasted like normal gravy. Maybe an Apple Cider sauce would have complimented it better. The meals were well presented. Hubby enjoyed his steak & said the Pepper Sauce was good. I must have just chosen the wrong meals. Hubby wants to go back again. Hopefully, the Chef might put his orders in on Thursday for the weekend rush. Also, it might pay to set up a second cash register, as I waited 10 mins to place my order & I was second in line. There were 8 people behind me. The chef was even looking out to see...

Fielders yesterday for the 3rd time in approximately 6 weeks. I recommend this place for a group luncheon for 10 or more people. Table of 12 we all enjoyed our meals. My steak and sauce thoroughly enjoyed. Do wish they had a choice of iceberg lettuce as a salad. Most of us ordered coffee and some with cake. Ladies serving were great but why could they not remove used plates as they brought coffee and cake to us. Yes I did ask could she take the used plates. As she walked away she said I will come back. More coffee arrived no plates taken from my area until most of us got and walked away. Once again meals enjoyed by all nice new lively venue but how hard is it to take even a dirty plate away when serving coffee. Yes I will give this venue another go but next time would highlight before I left my gripe . Yes I know it gets...

Doesn't look like much from the outside but very different inside! Great view of the cricket ground, inside is a sports bar, pokies, cafe and seated dining. Went here for lunch with a mate the other day, he ordered the whiting tacos, I got the pulled pork and onion rings chicken schnitzel. Some may complain that the chicken was too thin, but for me it was really good, it made for a very crunchy crumb and with the pulled pork on top wasn't overwhelming meaty. Chips were good too, seasoned really well. Service was friendly, Thanks 👍🏼
