McDonaldâs Tingalpa â my phone location app asked me to review my experience at your store â so here goes â ACTUALLY - while this post would only go live if I selected a star, I give this store NO STARS: Every time I go to McDonaldâs I say â this is the last time. Why? The service is always sub-standard, especially now in the era of touchscreen self-service; the food is always steamed soggy; the chips are ALWAYS cold (how do you manage that?); and the restaurants are not nice places to sit in, let alone linger over a coffee. Your COVID-19 response has taken the lack of service to a new low. There is homemade printed and laminated signage everywhere telling us something but nothing â or to check-in via the QR code. I didnât notice that some tables could not be used. The signage all looks the same. God only knows how older people cope if they dare wander in to one of your stores. As a customer I have never been treated with such disdain, or made to feel I was truly in the way of the staff getting on with their daily admin, as on Friday 18 September at your store. Obviously it was post-lunch-rush change of shift⌠while for or five staff stood around chatting and swapping notes on the shift while other new staff arrived to take over, there were only a few customers. We still got told off for sitting in the wrong seats. Would we please move over to the tables with the âgreen ticksâ? Well, that table was dirty so I hadnât chosen to sit there in the first place. While the staffer sprayed the bleach to clean the table â thanks, that makes my burger even less appetising â I prepared to slide over to the next table. Meanwhile my burger is getting colder and my chips have reached a new temperature low. Iâm already eating too fast to maximise the warmth of the food â and feeling like a complete pig for doing so. Now I have to move over to a new table. âHave you checked in?â Iâm snapped at. Yes, luckily I had filled in the online form while waiting for the food to be delivered â it arrived, as usual, without one component that I had asked for. So much for computerisation. Now, Iâm sitting in the right seat, trying to âenjoyâ my burger before it goes completely cold, and the staffer is slamming and emptying bins in the near vicinity. So much for germ-safe. I know, I could stay at home and order delivery and avoid the disdainful stare of your young staff â but if the food is that bad in the store 5 minutes after ordering, I can only imagine how soggy and steamed and inedible it all is when delivered by a courier to your door â only to be re-heated in the home microwave. McDonaldâs â when you first opening in my home town when I was a teenager, you were a family-friendly store and everyone was welcome. Now, it seems the customers are just getting in the way of the staff â who have less and less to do and are getting worse at that too. The only friendly service I received was from the McCafe where I was directed to retrieve my coffee. And â by the way â the coffee was good. So, McDonaldâs â youâll see no more of me. Iâve had enough. Iâd worked until 3am and so the late lunch at your ârestaurantâ was convenient, but it is no longer worth it. I felt sick the next day â and you know what? The cold food isnât even that...
Read moreWithout a doubt, this is the absolute worst McDonaldâs in Brisbane.
In the past, without fail, there has been something missing in every order. These days, 1 out of 3 orders. So thatâs some improvement, I guess.
The quality of the food is constantly poor and never improves. The fries often come wet and inedible The burgers are barely put together and look unappealing in the box Soft serves always start to melt within seconds of receiving it One instance I received a burger patty that was literally raw
Then thereâs the attitude of the staff. Thereâs no such thing as customer service at this store. The attitude of staff when made aware of mistakes theyâve made is completely unprofessional. Thereâs no sincerity or accountability. They just donât care.
I got a sundae from there once and there was a shard of hard plastic in it. When I went back to speak to staff about it, the staff said that they had noticed something had fell off the sundae machine. But, they didnât do anything about it before giving me the sundae? Didnât check something had fallen into the sundae or other food? That shard could have caused an injury if it got stuck in my throat or could been contaminated. When you notice something, do something about it then and there. Donât wait until someone finds a piece of machinery in their food.
I now go to a McDonaldâs at a further distance because this store is so bad.
The sad thing is, McDonaldâs as a business has the opportunity to teach so many young people skills for them to use in their life, especially their professional life. Itâs disappointing to know this McDonaldâs isnât teaching their staff any sense of professionalism, accountability or...
Read moreIt's got worse since my last visit. Paid $9.80 for a premium burger which looked as if someone had made it with their feet. Zero care-factor by the "cook". Asked for a latte in a mug and got it in a takeaway cup even after I repeated to the till guy that I wanted it in a mug. Add to that the fact that I had to ask for the table to be cleaned and food was on the seat and floor.
So posting an updated review based on our visit this afternoon. Things have not improved the restaurant is generally very dirty with few tables clean and chairs and seating covered with food and greasy oil stains or liquid. The burgers generally speaking made with negligible pride and it shows. Some of the staff are polite and helpful and some of the staff seems disinterested and come across as rude. Whilst we were there today another Diner complained of the length of time it took for his mail to arrive in what was a quiet period. This place really needs to up it's game because the only reasons we still go here are hope that things have improved and it's proximity to our home. Almost always a disappointment to us when we visit
Update July 2018:
Same ol, same ol. Restaurant absolutely filthy. Food on chairs, tables and floors. My bacon and egg McMuffin had the cheese hanging 2/3rds out of the muffin and visually looked like a roughed up tramp. Can't get any worse.... can it?
Update November 2019:
Still not great here. Bought an Aussie Angus Burger and it appeared to be made by a Walrus using its flippers to layer the burger. Just once I'd like to be able to eat a burger without playing a game-show-esque trial of trying to keep the contents from falling on the floor. Also, the male...
