This is a super cool cafe in the little shopping village on the corner of Marshall Lane and Moggill Rd. We had breakfast here on Australia Day. The place was humming with energy and activity, with lots of people enjoying their public holiday on a fine sunny morning. Unfortunately, our fav almond croissants were all sold out, so we had to settle for an almond and pesto one, still enjoyable and perfectly accompanied by two flat white coffees, which were hot and tasty. Service from the bevy of pretty young ladies, all dressed in neat denim shorts, was friendly, polite and efficient.Orders were quickly taken and drinks and food came out without delay. The ambience is casual, relaxed and laid back, with an airy and spacious interior, tiled floors and loads of greenery on the walls and ceiling, giving the joint that perfect summer vibe. Despite it being so busy, the acoustics were fine and we were easily able to converse. There’s ample parking in the car park at the front and clean toilets at the rear. The perfect spot for a weekend brekky. But I didn’t like the 15% ā€œpub holā€ surcharge, although I’m not sure who to blame for that: The venue itself, for not absorbing these costs and simply pricing them in to the cost of the products, or the interventionist Socialist govt for forcing such things as holiday loadings, superannuation, workers comp and a host of other costly rules & regs onto small businesses, which they in turn pass onto the hapless consumer, already faced with Weimar Republic levels of hyperinflation.

Great food and coffee. The staff were super nice and welcoming. I ordered the something wicked Benny and my partner ordered the A Bowl for the Romans. I must say I really loved my dish and thought it was pretty well balanced. I especially loved the pulled pork, very flavorful and tender. The waffles were savory instead of sweet which was to my appeal. I also appreciated the fact that the dish was a bit spicy, which made it interesting to taste. My partner really enjoyed his dish as well and we both agreed that the falafels were out of this planet. There were other dishes I wanted to try like the Japanese hot cakes and the softshell crabs, maybe we will go back sometime. There was something that we found quite confusing though. When we walked in we couldn’t tell where the line was as there were a bunch of people standing all over the place and we didn’t know who had already ordered and who were waiting. But in general, it was a very enjoyable and pleasant experience. Thanks for the great service.

Have you ever walked into a cafe and felt like ā€œoh man I can stay here for hoursā€? Well, that’s how I felt when I walked into @methodtothemadnesscafe 🄰 This beautiful cafe is located in Kenmore and it has an amazing Shakespeare-inspired design surrounded by lots of green plants. There’s plenty of seating available inside the restaurant! šŸ™Œ Here’s what we got: • Thoughts are but ā€˜Fritters’ • Madness went fishing • Chicken laksa • Hot blood, hot blood & hot deeds • Coffee tasting board • Smoothies All the dishes were amazing! The fish was well cooked and the laksa was delicious! The flavour was on point šŸ’Æ The pancakes were super sweet and soft and were a great dessert after having all those delicious food. The portion sizes were great for the price and quality! 🄰 Highly recommend @methodtothemadnesscafe šŸ™Œ Don’t miss out on such an amazing dining experience! 🄰

Untrustworthy and underhanded, do not go here.

They do not act in good faith.

In regards to the coffee stamp 'loyalty' program.

We had been long term customers, going on a regular basis who had earned 10 stamps for a free coffee: On the first occasion, the manager, a suave greedy man, when offering the 10th coffee, removed the babycino from the bill, as opposed to one of the either small or regular coffees. Thinking we would not notice. On the 2nd occasion the wait staff, a young blonde man, 'nicely' stamped for a babycino (unexpected and not necesssary) to reach 10 stamps explaining it as a 'favour' and then removed the babycino from the bill, as opposed to either 1: not stamping for the babycino, or 2: taking the price of a full coffee from the bill. resulting in a $1.50 saving after multiple visits as opposed to a potnential $4.50 or $5.

It is clear they are trying to save money, which is ok.

What is NOT ok, is intentionally deceiving customers to try and fleece them for all they have.

To the manager and the young blonde wait staff (you know who you are). This is how you lose customers, we have been on over 20 separate occasions for the food and coffee.

Instead I suggest you: Fix your act If you don't remove it, do not pretend you are doing the customer a favour when you aren't (it isn't smart) Consider offering to remove the more expensive coffee from the bill, not the cheapest (earns good faith)

If you can't do this, simply remove the program.

What disappoints me the most in #2.

We visit your cafe for what was used to be good food and good coffee. Instead you have greatly disappointed us in your actions.

The actions of the manager are disappointing, he should know better. But the intentional attempt to deceive through kindness is very much a black mark and reprehensible.

It saddens me to think you view your customers this way. And with an older clientele it turns my stomach to think in what other ways you are taking advantage of your customers.

I'm greatly disappointed.

Please take a deep look at yourselves in the mirror.

You know what you are doing is wrong. You are smart and can be do better than this.

We will not visit here again, and be sure to let the people we care about know the reason...
