Nudgee Beach Hotel — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I'm reviewing as I finish dinner. The building isvery unassuming from the outside, but inside the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. My husband and I aren't true blue 'locals' we're here filling in time before catching a flight. I did say to husband this will be our 'local' when we're down this way though. The prices are VERY reasonable as well. The most expensive item I saw were a full rack of ribs, and no doubt the ribs are worth the asking price. Tonight I had the chicken parmigiana with garden salad. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! The chicken parmigiana is REAL chicken not that processed flat rubbery rubbish thats passed off as chicken. I couldn't finish my chicken, so hoping I can have a doggy bag when plates are cleared. Cold chicken parmigiana for breakfast sounds pretty good to me. My husband and I will happily come down especially for Christmas lunch if the food tonight is any indication of what we will get for Christmas lunch. Calamari! It's a suburban pub! Congratulations 1 star (down from 2 because you can give Zero stars) Just don't click any - its not a mandatory preset field.... Re-edit of review: Put some nice antiquated timber around like a saloon and it's still in the middle of nowhere.

MOST Staff are awesome. Food is fair from what I tried.

Atmosphere stars for location, but an OK place because its empty when I visit, not to drink....

Please just stay away from the round little moustache man who seems to have no idea what "hospitality industry" means, he must also hire the equivalent of himself for newer staff - complete lack of service and give you THAT look when you ask for something more, because obviously pateons are not the priority.

Trying to Stay...

Great customer service, large dining area with a variety of different seating as well as an out door eating area... we ordered ×3 rib fillet steak with chips, pepper gravy & salad for lunch ×1 blue & x2 medium rare which was Cooked as ordered & delicious to the gery last mouth full... our beer was icy cold & complemented our meal very nicely. We did discover how ever that ordering a jug of beer was a cheaper alternative than to order our usual pints of beer. Good variety of pokies, nice pool table in the main bar area, big screen tv with comfortable seating to watch your favorite games, ×3 separate smoking areas for those who have a bad habit like us....lol toilet facilities were clean & smelt great. It's wheel chair friendly & also has a well appointed drive through with again great staff & customer service. ALL IN ALL A NICE...
