Let’s get one thing straight before we start, the extra star is for the view …. After much deliberation our table decided on their chosen meals. One antipasto plate, a couple of crab tacos and meatballs. Ok it was a windy day, but by the time the meals came to the table, the salad was in a neighbouring suburb. Firstly the crab tacos arrived ‘sorry we ran out of crab tacos yesterday so we have replaced them with fish tacos’ hmm ok would have been nice to have been given the option …. Then the meatballs arrived ‘sorry we ran out of meatballs yesterday so we replaced it with … you guessed it - fish tacos!! .. imagine our relief when the antipasto arrived and it wasn’t fish tacos. It was: 2x breadsticks 2x (slices) primo champagne ham 5x cherry tomatoes and an unidentifiable pickle. When quizzed on the ingredients the manager’s spokesperson simply said that ‘everyone has their own take on antipasto’ (for their benefit I have included a photo of what google believes antipasto should look like.) The waitress opened the till and handed me $15 as I don’t like seafood, and wasn’t prepared to eat the alternative chosen for me (fish tacos) no apology. So that was it - after a brief conversation with the manager’s spokesperson, who basically said we were lucky to get anything as we hadn’t booked … we left. Oh how we laughed as we headed elsewhere for … well … anything other than fish tacos!

+ Great views. Live music. Lots of potential. Super chilled Byron Bay lager. - Some staff were uninterested bordering on indifferent. Attempted to order tapas at 3pm and told ... 'the kitchen is closed' (word for word) despite notices stating 3:30. No apology/explanation offered. Limited signage at entry when approaching in a car (you have to park on the road side outside the venue and use the pedestrian entrance). ---- This could be one of Brisbane's magnificent finds and has huge potential, but there was a definite 'take it or leave it' feel about the place today. It has all the hall marks of there being 'rot at the top' with a need for a good dynamic management/supervisory team. My guess is I'll get a response that's defensive, or nothing at all.

We had "Garlic prawns with steam rice" and "seefood basket with salad and chips". The prawns are nice but the rice was very disappointed. The rice testing like supermarket packaging, Not fresh cook. The seafood basket are terrible. Salad and chips tooks 3/4 of the plate. The seafoods are deep fried batter seafood. Not fresh seafood. Overall the meals are over pricing compare with The surf club at Bribe Island. I will never go there again.

Very disappointing! I had been here before for lunch & suggested to friends for breakfast. Sunday 29th June 2025. Booking was for 8am, we ordered about 8:15 with only 3 other people in the restaurantat that time. We all got our meals & they were fine. We did not get our coffee until around 9am. When I asked if we were possibly getting coffee, staff said they were busy with a function. They then mixed up our order with another table. Proceeded to bring out one coffee at a time for 5 of us. Who brings one coffee at a time to a table? No saucer, no spoons. Had to go & ask for that as well. Last person to get served was my friend who ordered an orange juice....over 45 minutes later????? Obviously not enough staff on to cope with a function & also the general public. Maybe it was everybody's first day on the job. As I said, the meals were fine, but I doubt if 6 of of will return if it takes 45 minutes for a coffee with no real apology other than the...

We had our wedding at the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club and it was nothing short of perfect. The venue itself is beautiful – relaxed, coastal and full of charm, with stunning views over the marina that gave us the most magical backdrop for the day.

The team were so accommodating and supportive from the very beginning, helping us bring our DIY wedding vision to life. Nothing ever felt too hard – they were flexible, kind, and genuinely cared about making the day special for us and our guests.

So many of our friends and family commented on the laid-back, joyful atmosphere of the day – and so much of that came down to this gorgeous venue and the people who make it tick. We’ll forever be grateful to QCYC for helping us celebrate our love in such a memorable way.

Highly recommend to any couples looking for a welcoming, down-to-earth venue with heart.
