In the past 6-7 weeks I have dinned in with friends twice. One the first occasion, one friends meal took 45+ minutes to arrive at the table. Other friends shared their food with her. The waitress kept bringing meals to our table for someone named Penny. We had no Penny in our group, it actually got very ridiculous. You’d think after the third time the ‘penny would have dropped’ (excuse the pun) that there was no Penny in our group. My wine never arrived, the guys in our group kindly poured me a glass from their bottle. The waitress seemed to be undertrained. Our meals were ordered through the QR code on the table, which obviously was not reaching the counter / kitchen. One of our group went up to check and was told that the meals need to be paid for prior before the orders would register. There was no payment option in the QR process when we all used it. Our friend had to pay for the whole table and we had to sit there and go through our bank apps to reimburse him, not something you want to have to do when it’s a night out to relax after a busy week.
Last night we dinned in again, and unfortunately it was my turn to wait for my meal. My two friends were 1/2 way thru their meal when I motioned to the waitress to the table. She promptly went off to find out where it was. NOW, this waitress only minutes before did a ‘check to see if everyone was ok’ walk through the tables but it did not compute to her that two people at our table were eating and one was not. This was dinner time, I was not someone who just walked past and saw two friends having dinner and I sat done for a quick chat. I was there for my dinner, I was the one who made the reservation, I was the one who arrived ten minutes earlier and sat there alone until the others arrived.
The investigation into my lost meal escalated, the waitress who I engaged to check on it returned asking what I ordered, (r u kidding me? We were table 25, check the order dockets) then two staff were discussing with the chef through the kitchen hole / window. The chef shaking her head in a manner of ‘there is no such order’. Since we had such a bad experience weeks before, we actually went to the counter to order and pay, so all three meals were ordered, paid for within three minutes. My meal was the second one ordered, so why was it missed?
My meal then arrived in under five minutes, so it was prepared but was sitting on a counter watching the kitchen antics ? The meal was brought over by the waitress who was manning the counter, she apologised and said that my order must have given to another table. Was my meal then not made fresh, was it in large pot of noodles waiting to be served up?
Was I offered anything to compensate for their error? No, nothing. No offer of a free dessert or glass of wine.
Not only do I dine in, but I also often do a ‘take away’ on a Friday night. This lack of service is not acceptable. Your staff need to be trained to be observant, someone not eating while others are, ask, check why !
It is obvious that there will be no change in the training of staff or restaurant protocols as there is no recognition / comment from the restaurant that they are even reading these reviews.

Friendly and professional staff, lovely young ladies with nice uniforms. When we got back to the house to eat, it was clear this food is fresh!
