I walked in to buy a meal here and asked the lady at the counter how long the wait was. Me and my sister decicded that if the wait was any longer than 40 min we would just go home and cook in our motel. However, she said 20-30 min so we stayed.

1 hour and 30 minutes later, they brought our meal, soggy and not fresh out, almost like it was lost. The cost and amount you got was quite poor. I asked them if they could refund the meal because it took so long but they said they can only refund if they don't make the meal, but at this point it was late so where else was I going to eat. I ate the meal and then asked them anyways and they said that the best they could do was a free desert or a drink. I didn't want to wait another hour for them to bring out my desert so I asked for a drink, so they gave 2 Free Cokes. However to be honest, this was not worth it.

Had I known that I was going to wait that long, I simply wouldn't have sat there and I would have gone home. But because I was told something else, I then decided to stay and that is where the upset comes from. I hope in the future staff learn to know the wait time when a customer asks and then there won't be this review in the...

We traveled a long way to have ANZAC DAY at Charleville & then to have lunch & to see how to play 2 up. I wanted to do this for a few years. It was to honour and remember my Father, along term Charleville resident who passed away 30 years ago He was a returned Service Man and a staunch supporter of the RSL I have Cancer & it was my first thing.on my bucket list to do. The march and service was great and I was excited to see his name on the Cenetath. My Husband & I went to the R.S.L. I sat down at a table to wait for him , a man came up to me and asked me to take my cap off as it was disrespectful to have it on, I told him that I would rather leave it on because I don't have any hair due to Chemo & Radiotherapy treatment for My Cancer. He just looked at me , walked away spoke to another man. After that I was getting the looks ,the 2 grown men made me feel like I had to go away & hide ,I have never been treated like that at any time while having my treatments. I am & will be making a formal complaint when I...

We are a coach and touring company who offer tours to travellers over 60. We recently stayed overnight in Charleville and chose the RSL for dinner for 20 guests and 2 crew. It was a Friday night and as you would expect the venue was very busy. The food was great with the options of a la carte or a buffet style choice. The stand out was the service, and in particular the service of one staff member who I’m not sure whether had been tasked with looking after our group, or whose customer service is so exemplary that she took it on her own bat to look after us. The staff member’s name was Ava … she made our visit seamless in every possible way, from ensuring all our guests got their correct orders to liaising with our staff. Ava’s service would be up there with some of our best customer service experiences I have experienced in our over 12 years of operating our seniors tours. Thank you Ava for making it such a great place to stop for a...

Very disappointing, had special visitor from Brisbane, I was excited to take favourite aunt for lunch, mine was ok a bit smaller than last time, but still ok, but aunty’s was just horrible presentation was pretty disappointing, should of used a bigger plate so the food wouldn’t fall off, and the meat was in a big ball, I did complain but no response, the waitress was lovely and cashier was lovely, but sorry chef do better it was embarrassing for me and spoiled our outing, even with the member discount was $64 for 2 mains and very ordinary deserts , this is my first bad experience the food is normally fantastic. Crumbed steak should be flat not over cooked why are you deep frying crumbed steak, it’s not a fish and chip shop, served with glue/ gravy. Disappointed

Food was horrible. Not many food options in this town. Prior to visiting, I felt the RSL would have been a good option for a family meal. Truly astounded they would serve this food to customers. The vege & potatoes looked like they had been scrapped off the bottom of the freezer and microwaved 10 times. Barely resembled the vegetables they once were. Inedible. Also they managed to forget to make one of the meals. After prompting them, we finally received it an hour after ordering. In summary, dismal quality of food and lacklustre service. This place has given up on trying.

Really pleased to be able to have lunch at the RSL on Christmas Eve. We didn’t have a lot of option that day but the RSL offered great food for good value, and considered our membership from a different RSL location. The resto is modern and lots of seating. Activity packs for kids are available. There were flies that bothered me but all good. Also, possibly the best tasting spaghetti bolognese for kids. I didn’t have to season it and my picky toddler enjoyed it. Love the hint of sweetness. Steak was good and burger and chips too. Pretty happy with our experience.
