Have eaten in-house before, meals reasonable at the time May 2024 But had take out September 8 2024. Honey chicken. The chicken was minimal, the batter excessive to make it look large. It has been reheated in old smelly oil. The honey was left to soak in the batter instead of a separate tub to add later. I got it home and was dissatisfied with the old oily smell, and the soggy chewy chicken batter has put me off ever going back. The special fried rice was not traditional, oily, and more like stem rice, ate some, and binned the rest. Wish had taken photos.

Owner has come back asking questions. All I can say is take a journey to Melbourne to a few restaurants and get some idea of what the standard is to follow. But in saying that there are still doggy ones around, but they never trade for long. And I call BS on your oil changes. Hopefully things might...

Very attentive service - no complaints on service at all.

Food was average. Lacked flavour/taste. We didn’t find it worth the price for our table.

Always happy to support local businesses when travelling and did provide feedback on food as we left and it was not taken well.

Learn to accept feedback rather than saying ‘that’s how it’s done in the country’.

Edit: After receiving response my review has been edited. I tried to leave a respectful review highlighting the good things and things we did not like. Of course it is my opinion only. I did not go into detail or imply the restaurant needed to change their recipes or dishes. The reply from restaurant was unnecessary and has altered my experience even further. At no time were we disrespectful or imply in any way that the chef did not do their job.

We had a group of 16 dining. Everyone agreed the food was not good. The squid was all batter to make it look bigger. There was excessive oil on all fried food. Dishes came out without flavour and basically tasted all the same. Regrettable experience considering the $$$$ we spent. In response to the owners reply : there wasnt anyone other than the two fruit pickers in the restaraunt. We gave them the balance of your food that we couldnt eat. They were happy to eat it and if they got sick it was straight out of your kitchen. Finally the way you were dressed in tracksuit pants ,baseball cap. Not really the front of...
