Temper Temper Fine Chocolate — Restaurant in Cowaramup

Right in the middle of the Main Street of Cowaramup, lies three individual businesses, but linked under the same roof. I was looking for a mid-afternoon cappo from one of these businesses - Two Cracks Coffee, but sadly, they were already closed for the day. So I wandered around the other two shops - Seven Seas Tea, and Temper Temper. The latter is a gorgeous handmade chocolate Mecca for all lovers of fine chocolates, especially if your tastes run into the adventurous and quirky. While a little on the expensive side, the packaging and selection make it an ideal stop and shop if you’re looking for a little sweet treat for yourself or a gift for someone special. You know they will appreciate the thought and hopefully you’ll be around when they crack the gift open! We LOVED their selection of handmade Japanese ceramics, and could easily have spent up big time! Seven Seas Tea, as the name suggests, specialises in tea offerings, and all the must have paraphernalia that goes with. More lovely ceramic cups and other choice gift ideas for the tea lovers in your life. Now, if we can just manage to stop in when the coffee shop is still open...hopefully on our way back through after our time in...

Temper Temper Fine Chocolate is a must visit spot in Margaret River. The chocolate price is a bit on the expensive side, but the quality really justifies it. The pretty tempered chocolate bars also make for an excellent souvenir when I travel back to Perth. I heard nothing but compliments for Temper Temper chocolate.

I thought I wasn’t a big fan of chocolate, but I was wrong. I just couldn’t tolerate too many sweets. The good thing about chocolate is that it’s available in different varieties such as white, milk, and dark (plus ruby chocolate now). My favourite two are dark and ruby.

One of the fun things to do other than enjoying a cup of hot chocolate at their cafe is to try chocolates from different countries. The pink peppercorn white chocolate has an exciting flavour, as well as the darkest dark chocolate that they have there (called Dark Horse). You also have a choice to create your own chocolate bar if you want something special to bring home. What I always buy is their coffee beans in dark chocolate!

The staff here are so kind! Temper Temper is a newer addition to the fine foods of the Margeret River region, but a fantastic addition none the less. The flavours here are refined, unique and utterly delicious! We highly recommend the freeze dried dark chocolate covered strawberries, milk chocolate covered coffee beans, and Carrot cake chocolate bar! Although slightly higher in price than other chocolate places in the area, I would reccomend buying your flavoured chocolate bars and individual chocolates from here. The quality and delicate, perfect balance of the flavours more than makes up for the price, and you will not be left disappointed if you buy gifts or a treat for yourself from Temper Temper. If you come at the right time, the coffee they serve is also beautiful, and pairs perfectly with their chocolate. All in all a great...
