My family and I recently visited the Cowra Rose Garden Coffee House during the June Long Weekend to have lunch with a relative visiting from Canberra, ACT, and we were thoroughly impressed by our experience.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The service was exceptionally speedy, thanks to the incredible efforts of Waitress Krill. Not only did she ensure our orders were delivered promptly, correctly, and deliciously, but she also went above and beyond to accommodate our seating preferences.

Despite the bustling lunch rush on a long weekend, Krill effortlessly organized indoor seating for us, sparing us from the cold weather outside. Her ability to manage such a busy environment while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor was truly commendable.

Throughout our hour and a half stay, Krill continued to check in on us, ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal comfortably. Her dedication to providing exceptional hospitality made our experience at Cowra Rose Garden Coffee House truly unforgettable.

The food itself was fantastic, offering great value for money. From the aromatic coffee to the delectable dishes, every bite was a delight.

Stopped at the Rose Garden Cafe at Cowra for a late lunch. Dreadful customer service. Tried to place an order at exactly 2.30pm but to everything I requested was met with a curt ‘nupe, can’t do’ by an older blonde woman. After working my way through trying to order cooked food, sandwiches or coffee I asked what there was to eat and drink and was told sarcastically ‘cold drinks and cake’. A younger woman then came to the counter and said that all throughout January they close at 3pm and everything is cleaned at 2.30pm. When I said it was exactly 2.30pm and we were travellers looking for something to eat they didn’t care even though my husband & I were the only ones waiting to place an order. We realise they need time to clean up before closing but it was the attitude that sucked. Had the pleasure of visiting the Rose Garden Café in Cowra for a lunch date with my partner, and it was absolutely beautiful from start to finish. We shared the Cowra Lamb Wrap — tender, locally sourced lamb with baby rocket, cucumber, red onion, creamy feta, fresh mint, and a delicious aioli — all wrapped up perfectly. It came with a generous serve of crispy sweet potato fries that were spot on.

The meal wasn’t just food, it was an experience — full of flavour, freshness, and care. The setting was peaceful, the atmosphere inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. You can feel the love in the food and the soul in the service.
