Disappointing Service and Unprofessional Management at Cresent Head Tavern
I recently visited Cresent Head Tavern in for a 6:30 PM booking, anticipating a pleasant dining experience. Upon arrival, we promptly chose our orders and proceeded to the cashier to complete our transaction. However, we were left unattended for approximately 10 minutes, with no staff present to assist us.
When the manager finally arrived, they informed us that no orders were being taken due to a backlog of over 60 orders. This lack of communication was frustrating, especially after our wait. Additionally, the manager’s demeanor was unprofessional and discourteous, further diminishing our experience.
Observing other patrons, it was evident they shared our dissatisfaction, as many appeared disgruntled by the prolonged wait times and service delays.
Feeling disheartened by the service, we decided to leave and dine at Cresent Head Country Club where we were promptly served, received our meals within 15 minutes, and experienced friendly and attentive service.
While I understand that operational challenges can arise, the lack of transparency and professionalism at Cresent Head Tavern was disappointing. I hope this feedback encourages the management to address these issues to enhance future customer...
Read moreExtremely rude bar staff. Family and I went in today for a relaxing drink and to listen to the live band. Bar lady was very abrupt when I was ordering my drinks. Seemed to be having a bad day "aparently" no politeness no smile overall very bad customer service. I had my baby and toddler with me while husband was withdrawing money as they don't take card (we were told very rudely) getting glared at while waiting with my kids and then she had the hide to look down her nose at me and say BY THE WAY ARE YOU NOT AWARE THAT KIDS AREN'T ALLOWED IN HERE?? (well actually no I am a visitor to crescent head and hadn't been to tavern for about 10years, there were also a couple of other young children inside too!!!) Like was I supposed to leave my 3 Yr old and 6 month old unattended outside on the varandah while I ordered a drink??? the only nice thing I could say about the place was the band was good. We were originally planning to stay a while and listen to band and enjoy a couple of drinks also possibly go there for dinner tonight, But will definitely not go back to a place where the staff make you feel extremely unwelcome. Will probably never return unless they decide to hire someone decent...
Read moreWe recently held a pre-wedding gathering at the Tavern in Crescent Head, and it couldn’t have been better! I liaised with Daniel in the lead up, and he was absolutely wonderful in helping us curate a relaxed 3 hour event for our guests. We had friends and family flying in from overseas, and wanted an intimate, casual setting where we could all catch up before the big day.
The Tavern was our first choice, having enjoyed a lovely meal there a year prior, and it didn’t disappoint. Daniel reserved a section for us, catered for up to 50 people, and there was even a live band playing on the night which added to the atmosphere. While the Tavern doesn’t have a set event menu, Daniel worked with us to create a great selection of share style finger food for everyone to enjoy. The pizza was delicious, the chips were a fan favourite, and while we definitely over ordered, we happily took the extras home for a late night snack! Yum!
The staff on the night were fabulous; friendly, efficient, and welcoming. Our guests had a fantastic time, and so did we. Thank you to Daniel and the whole Tavern team for making our pre-wedding...
