Absolutely awful experience. Myself and my girls got all dressed up to go out for dinner and drinks on Valentine’s Day. Attempted to call the place multiple times as we were running 10mins late with no answer from their end. We reach the restaurant, only to find that our table has been given away as we were late. Requested a table in our booking and they were trying to seat us at the bar. After much back and forth, we were finally given a dirty table with glasses from previous customers. After asking three seperate servers, our table was finally wiped down and we gave a quick drinks order. 25mins later our cocktails arrived and we put in a food order. Another 30mins pass and our entree’s arrive. Our side condiments we ordered were forgotten, the dumplings were cold and soggy, once the mains came another 20mins later, the burger bun at the bottom was so soggy my friend had to completely take it off as it made her feel nauseous and her fries were also cold, my friends udon bowl had undercooked noodles and the fish clearly tasted old and dry. We ordered another round of drinks when our entree’s arrived thinking it shouldn’t take more than 10-15mins for the drinks to come and we would be able to have them with the mains. 25mins later, we look over and the staff is standing behind the bar, our drinks are yet to arrive and they do not seem to be serving anyone. We simply asked someone to cancel our drinks as we would like to pay and leave as we do not seem to be getting served. Any time we wished to order drinks or food, we had to wave over a server as we were not approached once to place an order in the hour and a half or so we were there. We tried to be patient as it was a very busy night and we understood the stress the staff was in, but the quality of the food and the service with not a single smile simply could not be ignored. Absolutely will not be going back and will be informing friends to not visit the place on a special night as it completely ruined all...
Read moreYaki Boi used to be my favourite place where it surprised me with the food and the service… however, we have discovered the All you can eat Monday out of no where a few months ago anf really impressed with this great ideas, at first it was $35 per person that you could order pretty much everything in the menu with the spirit of “eat till you drop”, our favourite dishes is OYSTERS…. We spent over $250 for 4 ppl at that time….
Still have a very good impression about this promotion, and then today me and my friends went back tonight, in hope we could enjoy the treat “ALL YOU CAN EAT” again… but no… the owner decided to alter the menu abit, $38 per person or $59 per person (not including drink)…. However OYSTER is still in the menu under all you can eat but LIMITES TO 1 oyster per person. Hello… if I am going by mysrlf, i can only have 1 oyster…. To you what does it mean by ALL YOU CAN EAT…. Please check the dictionary for the definition again, you can definitely take the OYSTER off the menu completely if they are too expensive to offer in ALL YOU CAN EAT or the kitchen is too lazy to prepare… if you put this in the menu, this is a false advertising for “all you can eat”…
Below are the three oyster in “ALL YOU CAN EAT” but you can only order ONCE…. If i want a dozen oyster, I will need to ask 12 friends to come and have it all for myself….
This is such a joke…. Not only me questioning this, many customers having dinner tonight also ask the same question… not a great experience at all
Probably gonna be my last time having dinner here and I do not want to recommend this to anyone,...
Read moreI really have loved coming to yaki boy, particularly for the strawberry daiquiri.
Recently however not only was the service extremely poor but the quality of the cocktails was sadly very different to the way it used to be. Staff were not attentive which was a little bit disappointing. Maybe there were lots of new staff, I’m not sure, but still wasn’t great.
Me and my friend them all received a watered down drink that was dripping all over the table when it arrived. I know it was more diluted than usual as I often come to yaki boy to order the strawberry daiquiri.
The waitress also dripped some of the cocktail on my fur coat. I wasn’t her fault, the drink was very melted so it was almost inevitable but still a shame. When the drinks were delivered to the table a big mess was left with them. We were left with a pile of napkins from the waitresses and expected to clean up the table from the mess caused by them. We also had to ask for water and cutlery and menus which I found a bit bizarre. This makes me sad to write because I always recommend to friends to visit yaki boy, especially for this drink.
I really hope these issues are not a reoccurring thing because I really would love for them to be resolved so I can look forward to the place I remember This recount was from a booking at 2030 on...
