I lived here for 3 years. 1 year in a single studio and 2 years in a 1 bedroom apartment. The single studio was very small but its the same in all the student accommodations. The 1 bedroom was very decent sized and I enjoyed that.
What is a major unnecessary inconvenience is the management. 1. The fire drills and false alarms are endless (and be prepared that you will have people from management entering your room to kick you out no matter the time in day) Should you need anything from the desk like a parcel or form you will need to chase it up continuously. Your parcel may be delivered and just down stairs but you won't be able to collect for it days (even in business hours) I've had the desk refuse to give me parcels for up to 5 business days before I demanded it) They are very strict with their paperwork and not clear about what needs to be done, but at the same time, will lose your documents. I had my Occupancy agreement requested with threats and deadlines 3 times. I had provided 2 printed versions and forwarded the email with the same documents twice. The facilitates are rarely working. There are 3 vacuums provided for the whole building with 1 or more of them frequently out of order. The elevators are incredibly slow and unreliable, the printers not working and good luck...
Read moreUnilodge is marred by an incessant symphony of disruptive noises, amplified by the presence of Student Representatives (SRs) who exhibit a passive-aggressive and detrimental approach. These individuals not only disseminate misinformation and unfounded directives concerning COVID when I contracted the disease, but they also stoop to the level of impeding individuals from seeking essential medical care by discouraging me from visiting walk-in hospitals. Astonishingly, when I bravely voiced my concerns regarding this matter, I was met with an onslaught of verbal assaults, culminating in my unjust expulsion from the chat group by the administrators.
Allow me to further elaborate on the deplorable conditions that permeate Unilodge. The constant clamor of noise disrupts the tranquility of the environment, making it an arduous task to concentrate on academic pursuits or enjoy a peaceful living space. Moreover, the behavior exhibited by certain SRs is not only unprofessional but also actively harmful to the well-being of the residents.
Edit: They hid my review again and again. And you can see only one other review can be seen in the last year and that's a five-star review. The private equity owner of Unilodge is trying to deplatform anyone who "dare to disagree with" them as many...
