Bean Addiction Espresso — Restaurant in District of Gungahlin

Thought I’d try this place after seeing the good reviews however I had a disappointing experience. Ordered a ham, cheese and tomato toastie, nothing crazy. While waiting I watched them prepare my toastie and the lady proceeded to put the sandwich in the microwave for a minute and then put it under the toaster for another minute or so, which I thought was a little weird. The place wasn’t very busy for 11am on a Saturday and given toasties are a huge part of their menu you’d think they would make them to order. Never the less I held hope my toastie would be delicious but that’s where it started and ended. When I opened my toastie I seen it wasn’t cut, just a big slab, not sure who eats a sandwich like this but not me. It had been toasted so little that it was just warm bread. It had the slightest toast on it but not even a single crunch which in a toastie is what you want right. I cut it myself only to reveal it was just ham and cheese, no tomato in sight. I thought it might have been just mixed up with a plain ham and cheese but I had another look at the menu and seen there is no plain ham and cheese, that sandwich has pickles and mustard on it so definitely not a mix up. Anyways as you can see my experience wasn’t amazing, and unfortunately I won’t be back. I love a good toasty but...

My absolute favourite cafe. Delicious, fresh food. Huge variety of food from the fresh to-go cafe fare to the full menu. Do yourself a favour and try the Baked Eggs and Chorizo - I think I’m addicted. And level up to the Double Egg & Bacon Roll - wow! Compliments to the chef.

Friendly, competent staff - many who have worked here for a long while, all of whom are lovely. They get to know you and keep things running smoothly. Special mention to Ruby who is so welcoming. Great atmosphere, clean comfortable setting, pleasant and varied music. The owners are usually onsite, engaging with customers and ensuing great service and atmosphere. Worth a mention is a time when I noticed the owner helping a couple entertain their young children to keep the atmosphere comfortable for all.

I’m a regular and see many other regular customers - repeat business like that is the best indicator of a five star place.

I recently visited Bean Addiction Cafe and I must say, it left quite an impression! The decor is chic and inviting, creating a wonderful ambiance to enjoy your coffee. Speaking of which, the coffee was exceptional - rich and flavorful, just the way I like it.

The ordering staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. However, it would be even better if the baristas sported a brighter smile (as she looked not so happy when passing us out coffee ). It can truly enhance the overall atmosphere.

Despite this minor observation, the cafe's overall experience was wonderful. I'll definitely be returning for more of their great coffee and...
