A Blooming Good Time at Tulips Cafe 🌷

From the moment I stepped into Tulips Cafe, I knew I was in for a treat. The cafe exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast or a relaxing lunch.

Food: The menu is a delightful mix of classic favorites and creative twists, all made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty meal or just a sweet treat with your coffee, Tulips Cafe has it all. The artisan breads are a must-try, and the cakes, baked on-site, are simply divine.

Service: The staff at Tulips Cafe are the heart of the establishment. Their friendly smiles and attentive service make every visit a pleasure. They truly go above and beyond to ensure that each guest feels welcomed and valued.

Ambiance: Nestled in the serene surroundings of Pialligo, the cafe offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The presence of beautiful peacocks and other bird life adds a touch of nature’s charm to the dining experience.

Family-Friendly: With a fully enclosed playground, families can enjoy a stress-free meal while the little ones play safely nearby.

Overall Experience: Tulips Cafe is more than just a place to eat; it’s a destination where good food, great service, and a beautiful environment come together to create unforgettable memories. It’s no wonder this gem is beloved by locals and visitors alike.

If you haven’t visited Tulips Cafe yet, you’re missing out on one of the best culinary experiences around. I can’t...

A hilariously poor experience. We made a booking for 6 plus a child, and arrived to them closing the kitchen. So, only cake and drinks available. I have no idea why you would accept a large booking with notice if you knew you wouldn’t be able to cater to them. The high chair was missing its straps and my son nearly fell out. They used two of the same table numbers (there were two other tables going when we were there) and kept sending the wrong orders. Three tables at once was clearly too many for them to keep track of. One of my friends had to reorder her cake because it never arrived. You’d think that without a kitchen you could still order the pies and sausage rolls displayed in the fridge, but apparently those are heated in a toaster oven which the chef does. After explaining my toddler was going to have a meltdown if he didn’t have real food, they condescended to serve me a sausage roll heated in the microwave. I have a personal policy of always being polite to wait staff and I really struggled to stick to it. They do have some gluten free items in their cake options, however most are squished up next to their glutenous cakes and are therefor not safe for anyone with genuine allergies. They kicked us out at 3:30 (despite advertising that they are...

Having gone to Tulips since I was a small girl with my mum on our mummy - daughter days, I decided to take my partner to experience a little part of my childhood.

Unfortunately today was not a pleasant experience. When ordering Bruscetta with Poached eggs, we were told the 'Poached egg water' had been 'thrown out'? Surely it's not difficult to put water with a few drops of vinegar in a new pot?

Our food arrived promptly, actually presented quite nicely. Fried eggs on top due to the aforementioned conundrum, drenched in Balsamic vinegar. The 'smashed avo' was more of a smooth blended puree mix, making the Turkish bread quite soggy. This paired with Balsamic over the fried egg, made the whole experience disappointing.

Finally, our coffees arrived after we had finished eating, which sadly we left on the table after barely touching it from such a discouraging experience.

Also, there is a large infestation of...

The food came out fast and the environment was nice, quite and peaceful (especially in the Winter sun). Food came out pretty fast but is definitely well-below standard for what you'd expect to pay. The infrastructure is there but it just doesn't seem to have a soul. Tables were frequently left dirty. The staff appeared to be under pressure and didn't look like they enjoyed the work they did. All things aside, the real issue is how bad the coffee is. It's hard to tell whether it's because they grind it too fine, use stale beans or just use instant. Regardless of the excuse, don't expect anything mind-blowing. There's huge potential here but for the time being, it's probably worth your time and money to avoid.

Homely retreat away from home I must admit I was at first hesitant to visit Tulip's cafe after reading some of the reviews, HOWEVER I found this to be an absolutely wonderful place to come and relax and enjoy the atmosphere, food and coffee. Tulips cafe has a country cottage feel to it with hearty, homely meals (lasagne special I would highly recommend). Me and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed our stay ending off with a beautiful brownie (twice the size of what you'll find in most places these days!) Thank you Tulips, I'll definitely be back.

We had breakfast and the food was good! It’s a nice place and nice ambience in a cosy setting! There is a play garden and also sets of stationeries for kids to remain engaged while parents and adults are catching up with each other! There are also a collection of books to read upon while one waits for their foods and drinks to come through. For me, the big plus was that it is run by a fellow Bhutanese and there is a peacock! Highly recommended for people who are looking for eateries outside the hustle and bustle of city life.
