**edit 12 Sept 2022 Back to try their dinner menu after they changed the whole dimsum menu 5 months ago. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience as we were rushed to order food as they said we would like the table to be available as soon as possible for the next diner. We booked the place a week before and we weren't late. The lady who took our order wanted us to order more food when we ordered 8 dishes for 8 people. What we didn't know the food portion was rather small. Menu was typed and printed. Some dishes weren't very clear. I understand that they seem to still haven't gotten back to full capacity. However, service could be better. ------‐-------------------------- **edit 10 April 2022 Came back for their dimsum and found their menu has became very small. They claimed they were having staff shortages. Food was still good but they took quite a long to come out. They dont have the normal dimsum trolley anymore, you have to order everything but as mentioned that the menu selection has gotten very small. With that being said, food came out fresh. We werent charged for our chinese tea on the day. ** ---‐‐--------------------------------------- The place is new and spacious. It doesn't look big from the outside but it surprisingly is once you get inside. The place is clean, cozy and nicely decorated. The dimsums are mostly delicious, service is friendly and quick. The most surprising of all is the price. Their dimsums are relatively cheap compared to other dimsum places I have been. Parking is available at the back. You need to drive through the alleyway to get to the free big parking.

Recently reopened, Fine China is tucked away in a little laneway and considered 'the' place to go to for DimSum in Victoria Park. With consistent quality DimSum offerings in Perth a challenge (compared to Hong Kong) we were keen to see how they had improved. Ambience is spacious and an early visit on opening meant tables were readily available. Be warned they start getting quite busy from 11am - 1130am on weekends. And how was the food? Chicken Feet were on point. Gelatinous, succulent goodness without excess garlic and on point. Dumplings were okay. I wonder if the chef is a smoker or just fond of seasoning as the fillings more salty than I am used to. I prefer the freshness of the ingredients and seafood to shine rather than the seasoning. And MSG? Uncle Roger would be proud but perhaps if you're sensitive just clarify how much they use. Egg tarts and Durian Mochi on point. Service however is below par, even for a dims restaurant. Perhaps they need additional training or a maitre'd to oversee. They appeared to be disorganised and over empty dimsum baskets often left uncollected for some time. Dedicating staff to a certain section and regular visual checks of how each table is doing part of routine hospitality service and perhaps a teething issue. Just be aware of the sticker shock. This is not a cheap dimsum restaurant by any means. Rarely do we spend $50 a person at dimsum without ordering fancy dishes or crayfish. But we managed to do it on dimsum alone. 3.5 / 5 but has potential to improve.

The atmosphere is quite comfortable, and the food surprised me, as I had always heard it was bad from others. We ordered crab in ginger and shallot flavors, which is currently on promotion for $58, with the option to add noodles for an additional $15. They also had a $5 king prawn dumpling offer, which turned out to be quite filling, but only limited to one tray per table. The durian mochi was also very delicious, the skin is very thin and jit too sweet, which quite comparable with the one we usually enjoy in Belmont, though it is a bit pricey at $16.80. I've now added this place to my list of favorite dim sum spots. I would have given them a 5-star rating if it weren't for the rather poor service experience with their floor manager/captain/receptionist. Upon entering, the receptionist was engrossed in billing and didn't acknowledge us with any eye contact until he was done. While the other waitstaff seemed to notice us, none of them bothered to inform the captain or manager of our presence. I even noticed the captain chewing food while serving food from the trolley. With proper training, leadership, and management, I believe this establishment has the potential to thrive and earn repeat customers. I sincerely hope that my review would be able to reach to the management and make necessary improvement.

Extremely poor and impolite customer service with the staff named 'K' as she marked her name on the order list. This is the first restaurant in Perth where I encountered a waitress that said bad words to the customers instead of apologizing for her behaviour when she did wrong. Four adults of us came to the restaurant and requested for a round table. She refused and directed us to a normal rectangular table for four. A young couple with 2 little kids behind us were however immediately directed to a big round table although there were still many rectangular tables available . When we expressed our dissatisfaction to another staff, we were arranged to a better table. The 'k' staff during her dim sum serving ignored us and served other customers despite the fact we sat at the first table next to her serving route. When we talked to her that you should be fair and provide nice customer services, she then responded rudely that our behaviour is not nice to her too. She even responded that this is how the Chinese dim sum staffs work. I have had many Chinese restaurants visited locally and overseas and I have never experienced this kind of waitress. I have reported this incident to the female owner, but it could be just another incident swept under the carpet. Whether the incident is conveyed to the actual owner for action, I will never visit this restaurant again. My receipt number is 27858. Happy for the owner...
