McDonald’s Malvern Springs — Restaurant in Ellenbrook

Updated review, as of September 2025 (prev. 5 stars, lol): If this Maccas can get your order wrong, they will, and almost maliciously so. Even if you say everything exactly right with no changes, even if it's exactly right on the receipt they will - unfailingly - FAIL at getting your order right as though their one task is to cheerfully and obnoxiously give you the thing you wanted least on the menu, no matter what.

I've never been somewhere so consistently incompetent. In fact it's become a fun game of 'what will they get wrong this time' and we're never disappointed!

I would say about 9 of the last 10 orders have all had something wrong. The completely wrong burger (how do you confuse a McChicken with a Quarter Pounder?) more than once, or completely wrong ingredients (Classic Angus burger without tomato, onion or pickle), or both if you're 'lucky' enough to hit the absolute jackpot.

You're better off going literally anywhere else if you care about the order you want. If, however, you quite enjoy a 'lucky dip' from the entire Maccas menu where you have no idea what you'll get from them, this is the place to go to!

Added 29/8 2022 - Let's play Wrong Roulette again! Today they didn't get our order completely wrong but still managed to mess up every burger/wrap item! The Aioli Chicken Wrap didn't have tomato, the Big Mac didn't have any pickles, and the most expensive burger: the Classic Angus - didn't have any pickles, tomato, and hardly any lettuce or onion, making it mostly just a patty and cheese on a bun! Stay tuned for next time in Wrong Roulette at Malvern Springs Macca's! They're blowing us away folks, can't wait to see how they stuff up next time.

Added 29/9 2025 - You'd think I'd learn, but today we're playing 'let's check if they remembered the butter and syrup for two orders of hot cakes, that can't be too hard!' We ask them to check, they check, we get home, there's no butter or syrup. You might think 'maybe they misinterpreted you!' but they forget on a regular basis. This is the only place you have to ask more than once for them to do their job. Still miserable! Is this the lowest rated McDonald's in Australia? It'd be close, right? What is wrong with the hiring and management practices at this Maccas? God wants to know. Oh, and we're back to no tomato on burgers that should have it, most...

Came through the drive thru with my partner because we were in the area, never been to this store before. Asked for our McMuffins to be made fresh because I am pregnant and can’t risk getting sick if eating old food. Was told they “don’t do fresh through drive thru” and that we had to go into the store even after we said we were happy to park up and wait. The manager refused to make it fresh unless we paid inside. I have ordered at many other McDonald’s restaurants while being pregnant and needing fresh food and this has never happened. We were in a rush and didn’t have a lot of time to go in but were told they could take our order at drive thru and hold it and we could pay inside to make the transaction faster. We parked and went inside. The girl on the counter had no idea about our held order and had to take our order again which was annoying and created more delays for us. Finally we got our order. My partners brekkie burger was a complete mess with all of the sauce in the box instead of the burger and the patty barely even inside the burger and bacon scrunched up to one side. We were missing a hashbrown, chai latte was basically just milk, the hashbrown tasted like the oil has never been changed and given the temperature of the food I am doubtful it was even made fresh after everything. I have never had worse customer service in my entire life - and not just once at this place. The latest example of terrible customer service happened today. I was in the drive-thru and ordered 1x large mango slushie and 2x bags of chicken McBites. My order was taken and asked to drive-thru. I got to the first window and was told that I could not have chicken McBites as they are not served until 10:30am. It was 10:28am......I said to the lady at the window that it was literally 2 minutes to 10:30am and I wouldn't mind waiting in the waiting bay if that was needed. I was told I couldn't order them. I was a bit speechless and said I will just take the mango slushie then. I was then laughed at and the lady said to me "what do you mean slushie"? I said "the frozen drink?" she grabbed the eftops machine and stuck it out the window with no further communication.

I usually go to this McDonald's as it is a stones throw from my house but in future, I will be driving the 10 minutes to the other McDonald's just to avoid this place. Constantly slow, constantly having to repeat orders, never greeted. Whoever is the manager at this place should be fired...
