Hong Loch — Restaurant in Finley

I've had takeaway in the past from this restaurant and it was really good but tonight was not up to their past standard. The fried rice and beef and black bean tasted weird. Had two maybe three mouthfuls and that was it. The prawn cutlets were ok but were the tiny frozen package type I could buy at woolworths I do realise there would be understandable short supply of fresh prawns with xmas looming. The chicken wings had a funny taste so that was a no go. The honey battered chicken was excellent I took the rest of the chicken home. The waitress/ server when I asked to take the chicken home she actually brought the container to the table and walked away so I had to put it in the container myself. That was a first for me. Note: If they ask if the meal is ok when they can clearly see it's not being eaten the staff shouldn't take offence to my reply. She was clearly agitated when I said it...

Tonight I made the mistake of placing a takeaway order with this restaurant.

2 steamed Chinese dim sims (unusual flavour) 1 Chicken and Black Bean sauce (bland) 1 serve steamed rice

The order was ready in time, although they forgot to include the rice in the order.

Regardless, that came to almost $30.

I was offered a serve of rice if I paid the going price. $7!!!! I refused. The female owner became argumentative, citing gas prices, expenses and staff costs. I agreed that she was in business to make a profit. She then told me that if I didn't like to pay, I should cook at home. What an attitude,...

Well, after a year of living in Finley, I decided it was time to try the Chinese restaurant. WOW!

Combination Fried Rice was just brilliant. The Sweet and Sour Pork was delectable, but the Mongolian Lamb. That was the absolute next level.

At more than reasonable prices, this is a Chinese restaurant I will be visiting some what regularly.

In short, Great tasting food, not filled with MSG, at really good...
