My Saigon Tuckshop — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

At first, I was excited to try this good rating pho place on a industrial area recommend by a friend.

After I have been there, 2 reasons that I will think twice for going back.

1: Rudeness. Taste food is key to run a restaurant business, however service needs to come along too to keep customers going back. The front counter old man needs to learn how to smile and talk politely. English is your second language but doesn't mean you should not be polite to your customers.

I was the first one in line and few people ordered take away after me. After 15 mins they all got their and left but I still yet got mine. Pho should be the fastest dish to bring out in a Vietnamese restaurant. Did you treat your dine in and take away customers differently? Isn't supposed to be whoever is the first one ordered get food first not to mention we all ordered...

Havent been here for awhile. Used to be my favourite vietnamese restaurant. I love the pho and I always order it.

Around the time after covid hits and every thing is coming back to normal. They took away all the chairs and tables not allowing customers to dine in. So we are forced to order takeaway. Having pho on take away will affect the taste and texture. Went there a few more times but still havent got the chairs out yet. And the fried rice, extremely oily, I can use the spoon the hold on the rice and I can pour out at least 4 table spoons of oil. and the rice will still taste like mush with oil.

Not sure about now but it does feels like they dont really care much about how you feel as they are still getting customers.

Otherwise their pho is still...

The last time I came here 3 years ago, maybe 🤣 They have changed the portions and prices now😳 That’s ok👍🏻 I understand it. It’s super busy today, is it every day now? Just short staff today??? I ordered Beef pho and chicken wings to have here and Beef lemongrass noodles with salad for takeout. I guessed it’s going to take time😅 It was yes….😓 30mins….. Pho was very simple toppings, very nice but overall $13 worth. Chicken wings were cooked well, juicy, crunchy and tender, just not enough season itself 😅 The beef noodle salad was nice and simple too. It's $13 worth as well.
