*Edit based on owner's response: The team may be beautiful people, but based on the reply, the owners are classic cases of refusal to take any criticism and make changes for the betterment of their business and customers. The website has been edited since my visit so they clearly only take what they want to hear and don't appreciate the value in making mistakes, but then lie about it to save face.
The service was incredibly slow - 30 minutes for a toasted banana bread to come out; was informed after I paid and sat that my drink order was "out of stock"...even trying to place my order took a while as they were too busy chatting to an employee who was off work but "just stopped by for a coffee."
Also, the website doesn't display the correct menu for this location so what I planned to order wasn't even an option. Hence the 30-minute pre-cooked banana bread.
Beware bringing anything to their attention if the staff are even 1/10 as aggressive as the owners (see below) who admit to lying in order to diminish my review, thus proving that I was accurate in my...

However I have to say the coffee was a big let down. Was bitter and unpleasant. Same with the cappuccino. The acai bowl was nice however a little on the sweet side. Also having aldi brand granola on display isn't a selling points when I'm ordering. The almond croissant was nice, however laying it in a bed of honey is a mistake. Almond croissant in my opinion should be served as is. The honey makes it too sweet and takes the flavour away from the almond and the pastry. The halloom tomato was nice, love the herbs served with it. Very fresh. only criticism was the sourdough was quite tough to cut. Mostly the crust. Struggled cutting it even with a knife with teeth. This place has great potential. But has room for improvement. Good to be able to go to a Burleigh cafe without having to fight for a car park and away...

The coffee was fine, nothing special but the cups were beautiful. I had an ocean trout Benny for brunch. The plate looked absolutely gorgeous but thatās where it ended. Nothing on the plate was flavoured or seasoned so the trout was bland, the skin was soggy, the bread was bland and the āsea vegetablesā had no flavour either. The only salt on the plate was coming from the sea foamā¦which admittedly looked so beautiful on plating. However it quickly dissolved into a very unpleasant substance similar to mucous which made me feel quite ill. I wish they had just served a classic benny and done that...
