We have been customers of yours many times. Not anymore. We won't be coming back.
You forgot our order. Large groups who had arrived after us were leaving before we got our food - which was only two meals.
Mistakes happen. That's understandable. But here is some advice. As the business owner you need to keep a watchful eye for things that the minors you employ do not see. We were there with two young kids and it would have been obvious to any adult that we hadn't gotten our food yet. An adult would have come over and asked if we were waiting on anything. This is not the minors fault. This is the business owners fault for not having things in place to ensure forgotten orders don't go left unattended for too long. Secondly, you showed almost no responsibility for the mistake. Yes, you provided a complimentary cake. Frankly, its not enough. We did not come to your cafe to simply eat food. We came for a nice experience. What we got was a whole lot of waiting around with it being quite obvious that our young children were getting restless. Next time this happens you should consider 1) Actually acknowledging that you forgot our order instead of trying to sweep it under the rug 2) Apologise immediately and 3) Refund the order. You may think your cake offering makes it all good. It doesn't. Instead of this being a nice breakfast it turned out to be rather stressful and a cheap cake doesn't magically make things right.
Given the quality of your food and the poor customer service from the top down you seem to think that people come to your cafe only for the food. They dont. They come to your cafe for a nice experience. You've lost us as a customer and I hope management reflects and learns...
Read moreWe live local and we were excited to see a cafe open up so close by! We had breakfast and unfortunately we can't back up the positive reviews left here. While everything was presented beautifully, the flavour just isn't there. To us it feels like a place that tries really hard, wants to copy good concepts from popular places further south but does so with cheap and non-delivering dishes. We had the asian mushroom dish, the red velvet pancakes, the chilli chorizo scrambled eggs and eggs on toast. Non of the dishes had much flavour. When we order red velvet, we want to TASTE red velvet. There was no taste to the pancakes whatsoever, and sure, maple syrup and fake-flavoured ricotta did add, but why would I pay $22 for that? When I order chorizo eggs, I want to see it and chew on chorizo, I don't want tiny 0.1%chorizo pieces that are not even part of the story. When I order Asian Mushrooms, I want to be blown away by a completely different mushroom than I can cook up at home. Which was absolutely not the case. They were ordinary mushrooms with maybe a slight hint of something asian. The only two things on our order that were worth our money was the coffee and the bacon ($7! to add on though!!!). Even the milkshakes weren't milkshakes! There was no milk in it! It was a chocolate frappe (made with water which is cheaper!) and no icecream but more a chocolate sorbet (again, with water, which is cheaper!). Such a disappointment for something that has so much potential! This place tries to cut corners. Just cut out the fancy stuff, make honest simple dishes that work and deliver on taste. Then...
Read moreFirstly, when I tried to book online, the site refused to accept my phone number, stating it was not a valid number, despite multiple varied attempts and on different devices. The next day it worked but I got no response to the online booking and had to call.
While my three guests got their meals swiftly, I waited for ages only to be brought pancakes which were not what was read back to me at the time of my order. My order was scrambled eggs on toast. Very simple.
Finally, my meal arrived after my guests had all but finished theirs only to find the eggs cold and gelatinous. They also had a bit of an odd taste. I certainly could have had much better at home.
This is very disappointing especially since it was my second visit, the first being my recommendation for a breakfast there for the Rolls Royce and Bentley Owners Club, a week or two before, which filled the restaurant. I think you owe me a...
