Ordered 3 kids meals and two adult meals. Kids meals were great, but, they came out first and we didn't get our meals til about 30 minutes later once the kids had finished. The schnitzel was a soggy oily mess (nothing like the kids one that came out) and the rib eye was way over cooked (we asked medium well done) it was like a dried up shriveled mess. When we spoke to the manager we didn't receive one apology for what had happened, we were actually patronized and asked if we actually knew what a rib eye was meant to look like. Then when we asked why we had to wait 30 minutes in between the adults and kids meals, we were told you should say you want them to come out together because we always serve them separately, like I'm meant to be some kind of mind reader having never been there before. Ended up leaving hungry as we wanted refunds after receiving no apology or reasonable explanation for receiving one meal way overcooked and a schnitzel that was soaking in oil and not actually getting to have a family meal together like we wanted to do. P.S. you didn't refund me for the extra gravy you charged me for - the gravy with the adult schnitzel (one would think gravy comes with that) and the extra gravy I ordered for one of the kids meals to have with their chips which never came out til the adult meals did. Disappointing is an...
Read moreWe went to the Blue Pacific on Saturday night. We've always liked it there and we had a very nice meal and enjoyed the karaoke. Only one thing spoiled our night and that was the over zealous security guard. There was a good crowd there and people were having fun. I understand the need for security especially where alcohol is being served but surely it should be discreet and not intimidating. The man with the handle bar moustache strode around all night making his presence felt by everyone. Later in the night he tapped my partner on the shoulder and said 'no more drinks for you'. Whilst we certainly couldn't have driven, we, like the rest of the crowd, were happy and causing no problems for anyone. My partner went to the bar, not to buy a drink, but to politely (and I stress this) report this unfriendly and self important behaviour. This same security man then came and asked my partner to leave - that's one way to avoid having a complaint made about you! Outside we spoke to a large group who were leaving and who also commented on how uncomfortable this man had made them. Perhaps the management might like to have a look at this as I doubt we are the only ones who have left with a negative impression due to one power...
Read moreWe arrived with our 1 year old son asleep in his pram and navigated to a vacant table. While I arranged to make room for the pram a staff member came over to clear the two empty glasses from the table. My husband reached for the menus to quickly order food and drinks so we could dine while our babe slept, not realizing that the waitress had planned to come back to wipe the table, so we moved the menu holder and salt and pepper back onto the table from the chair so he could sit down to read the menu (As a waitress Myself for many years I have never worked anywhere that would put things that are to sit on a dining surface on a chair to begin with). On her return she was extremely grumpy and muttered under her breath while quite violently wiping the table. I politely asked her “sorry what did you say?” And she replied “THAT’S WHY I put these on the chair”. We were both shocked at this response and her poor attitude working in the service industry. We had a short discussion about how many other places to eat there were around and decided to leave and spend our money somewhere else where the staff was...
