Coochiemudlo Island Beach Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Sadly not a great experience. Steak and fish basket were all over cooked. Chips were replaced on two out of four plates. Two peppercorn sauces were actually mushroom.

The food was disappointing, but what was worse was the attitude of the owner, who told us that the reason was because they had a busy day. It was Australia Day and I do understand that they had a very busy day and were very tired but seriously it was very upsetting to be pretty-much told “bad luck”! I was told if I was not satisfied to not come back.

Service should be the same for every customer and if that can’t be done then early closing would be better.

I must admit, I had initially felt sad when I saw that the Coochiemudlo Island Beach Bar had replaced the cafe, but now that I've experienced it twice, I'm grateful for it adding variety to the island's options. If you're sensitive to sound like I am, I recommend sitting at the front windows, as it can get very loud inside when the bar is busy. The staff are friendly, the chicken schnitzel and pizza are great, and of course if you're at the window the view is spectacular. I look forward to returning next time I...

We got asked to leave because when we got there around 9.30pm on Friday. They said they stop serving at 8pm. But the place was packed out. We didnt know? Yeah was it because were weren't locals?

Went back there o Sat. Order 1 beer each and 3 pizzas. Well the Pizza were delicious. But honestly the beer we tasted wasnt the best. But being the only bar on the island you dont have much choice.
