I’m not usually one to abuse tropes and reuse -frankly- dull jokes, however… the “happy” meal has finally brought me to my breaking point. I’ve been holding off on my review of the bribie island maccas for quite some time now. I am a frequent visitor and a big fan of McDonalds in general, however bribie island maccas fails to bring the same joy as other maccas restaurants I have visited. This review has culminated over many countless McDonald’s visits and this happy meal is the nail in the coffin. To put it bluntly this happy meal has given me depression and it even made my girlfriend cry. The blatant lack of love put into this meal is sickening and it shakes me to my very core that someone so heartless could be allowed to assemble a happy meal, which should represent the joy and excitement of getting McDonald’s as a kid. As can be witnessed in the attached photo, the burger looks as though it was assembled from across the room, then body slammed and stomped multiple times over. Not to mention there was meant to be an extra small chips in the happy meal which seemed to have somehow vanished between being bagged and handed to us. There was also a chip that looked as though it had taken 10 trips through the fryer and been left on a shelf for weeks before being thrown into the bottom of the happy meal box, where it will now lay until the cockroaches find it or it decays into nothing but the carbon that makes it up. Finally, there was no toy in the box either which is a major let down. I hope that the staff at Bribie Island Maccas are able to come to terms with the fact that they have ruined my day and my overall perception in Mcdonald’s as a...
Read moreI am not going very often to any MC Donalds anymore. The food is so bad that I get sick from it. But my child still likes it. The last time I went, I decided it would be the last time. At least at the one on Bribie Island. I have never seen such a dirty restaurant. Rubbish and food were lying everywhere on the ground, and benches and the staff were so unfriendly and slow. No smile and just grumpy faces. The girl who took my order was talking to me worse than a computer voice. Then they made my hot food and put it on the bench. After the food was on the bench, she started making the drink and went away, taking orders to other customers. No one cared that my food was still on the bench, and my coke filled up on the other side. After she served 3 customers, I went to the bench and asked her to please give me my coke before the food got totally cold. She looked very upset and without saying a word just passed me the coke. I again had to ask her to please give me at least a tray for it. So, without looking at me, she...
Read moreDon't go to McDonald's for food FFS. Ok it's a convenient place to meet and that's what you're paying for. The coffee isn't too bad, maybe a snack or a treat, but the food is nutritionally bereft and even though they bandy the "meal" word around, nothing at McDonald's comes close to a meaningful meal. If you're eating for fuel, you're in the wrong place. If you're eating for health you're in the worst possible place, but you already know that. If you are eating for flavour or comfort or gourmet, you are on the wrong planet. If you're eating, for convenience, because you are hungry and don't have time to prepare a decent meal, take a good hard look at your life. You can do better. Parents, if you're feeding your kids a "Happy" misnomer "meal" misnomer, you are setting your kids up for a lifetime of disappointment and dietary struggles. Just stop! Maccas management, I like the way you train your staff. Find another way to exist without destroying innocent people's diets with your aggressive...
