We stayed here for two nights and had issues, tried to discuss with Management, reception informed me they where not available, left contact details with no response. Sent 2 emails (see below), no response to emails.
2nd email:
Good morning,
After speaking to Kylie on the morning of Sunday 10th February & emailing our concerns; we still have not had a response.
We regularly go to concerts at Sandstone Point & stay on Bribie Island . We normally stay in apartments , however after much convincing , my husband finally agreed to stay at your motel.
After all day in the heat at the concert on Saturday , we arrived back to find the wet towels we had thrown on the floor thrown on the unmade bed & the coffee cups & bowl unclean.
I found the motel to be otherwise fine....the service however left a lot to be desired.
Kylie assured us that management would be in touch to discuss, however that has not happened & we would like to complete our reviews( we have a lot of expat friends who rely on reviews when we travel).
We look forward to hearing from you.
1st email:
To management,
After being in the hot sun all day at a concert at Sandstone Point......
We have just arrived back to room 26 to find:
The room was NOT serviced as per your guest information folder.
the bed was unmade
the used WET towels that we had left on the floor for exchange (as per the guest information folder & signage) had been thrown the unmade bed.
dirty coffee cups
dirty bowl & dirty spoons
The only servicing we could see that been performed was the replacing of the toiletries & the emptying of the bins.
We had to shower using towels that were still damp & had been on the bathroom floor.
This is a disgusting way to treat your guests & we will be speaking to reception in the morning.
So given the lack for response and that we have given Management opportunity to correct this appauling lack of service I will now warn other travellers of this nasty experience. We have pictures of the...
Read moreWe were so excited to arrive at our accommodation at beautiful Bribie Island. Fantastic weather, scenery and people are plentiful here and it truly is a slice of paradise. We collected our room key from the reception at Bribie Waterways Hotel and headed for our room. Confusion set in when we found our room on the ground floor when we had booked a room with a balcony. I immediately returned to reception to query the error and was told the porch at the front of our room was "technically" a balcony and there was nothing else available. This is the point at which I felt I was dealing with dishonest people and decided to do everything in my power to bring this to the attention of future holidayers who might consider accommodation here as well as QLD tourism and Fair Trade. Fortunately I have access to solicitor who researched the definition of a balcony through the QLD building code and found that Bribie Waterways Hotels' actions constitute false advertising and may be penalised.|Bottom line is check your booking conformation. Call and speak to someone before you commit because if you walk too far out onto your balcony at Bribie Waterways, you could be...
