I was born in Redcliffe, then moved back to NZ. Having lived in Aussie for 12 years, I have proudly supported the Dolphins at every game or event. Upon deciding to leave Aussie, I wanted to do a final trip to Redcliffe, and imagine my excitement when it turns out that there is an entire building dedicated to the Dolphins. We walked at 7.25pm to have dinner, we were greeted by a worker who was Maori, and we excitedly told him the story, and asked him how much membership was. He told us and said we needed our DL's. My partner misheard and said he didn't want to sign up, but you needed DL to get it. All good my partner was going to get his wallet from the car, the guy said the jandals weren't allowed on entry after 7.30. We asked what the time was and it was 7.27, he then said that by the time my partner got his wallet it would be past 7.30. We were all already in the building. Pretty stink after telling him how big a fan I am, my last trip before leaving etc, but he seemed pretty hell-bent on not letting us in. So, we were gutted but we're not going to let it ruin our trip. Then we walk out, and a Maori lady walks past in jandals, we told her that you aren't allowed in with jandals we just got denied for it. She just laughed at us, and continued walking straight up to the guy. We watched from outside like a hungry child's faced up against a restaurants window, who happily smiled, greeted her and helped her sign in. What the heck, we thought. This was out and out different treatment, because of our race. Then we watched an an elderly man walk up with Jandals, allowed straight in. I am absolutely guttered that we were treated that way, we were nothing but polite, and absolutely excited to be in a whole Dolphin themed place. I thought Dolphin supporters were allowed to be all different demographics. Unfortunately, this was obviously double standard, the fact it happened with my favourite teams restaurant is a kick in the face to my last...

Redcliffe Leagues Club is a Community based club located at the Cnr Klingners Rd & Ashmole Rd, Redcliffe.

One of the main points of interest is that it also home to the Redcliffe Dolphins, the newest team to join the National Rugby League (NRL), their training facilities are located at Dolphins Stadium which is located adjacent to the Rugby Leagues Club.

The Redcliffe Leagues Club is well established having been here for a many years, it has a wonderful range of restaurants & great Cafe where you can relax & enjoy a coffee, a wonderful selection of light meals & there is an area where fresh Pizza is made to order.

If you need to find out any information about Menu's or Courtesy Buses, entertainment, etc, you can contact the friendly staff at Reception or go to the clubs website 🤔

I have always found this League club to have a wonderful family-friendly appeal, which caters to all types of functions, from weddings to large corporate engagements.

There is a spacious gaming area where there is a large range of poker machines available 😀

Opposite to the gaming area is a fantastic Sports Bar with TAB facilities where you can relax & watch an assortment of live sports including all the latest horse racing.

Redcliffe Leagues Club has a more than adequate parking on-site, with Disabilities parking located close to the front entrance of this establishment.

There is also an undercover "drop-off" point at the front entrance.

Redcliffe Leagues Club has regular live entertainment & Bingo sessions, which are very popular. I found the live entertainment on a Wednesday to be very entertaining 😅

The Redcliffe Leagues Club, with their NRL football side the Dolphins, are headed for fantastic times going forward 👏

The NRL season has finished for 2024 with the Dolphins completing another competitive year football under the coaching of Wayne...

Up until last night I was a member of Dolphins. Last night I went in for a drink with a mate and showed my licence on my phone, which is where I keep all my ID and has never been rejected in the last FIVE years I've been doing so. Including the TMR! But it's illegal at Dolphins? Right. Some prepubescent power-tripping kid tells me it's not legal but so long as we didn't play the pokies it was fine. It actually is a legally accepted form of presenting ID. I tried explaining the same to this guy who could only repeat 'it's policy'. So it's policy to go against a legally accepted when he motioned for his bodyguard, like I, a 5'5 woman trying to have an intelligent conversation with a kid whose face couldn't have been more glazed over had he been a doughnut. So now I have two people not allowing me to explain that as a CARD-CARRYING (except for last night) MEMBER OF THE CLUB they probably wouldnt have allowed me to join in the first place had my ID been illegal. Not liking logic much, he ended up denying me access altogether. So instead of making a few bucks profit off me like you do every time I go, these two power tripping kids guaranteed it'll be going somewhere else. Also, if you're going to teach your staff it's fine to claim something is illegal when you clearly have no clue what you're talking about. Really appreciate the dampener these guys put on the one night out I've had out after months of grieving when a kind word would have gone a much longer way. i hope being the big men who are in charge of who is or is not allowed in at a local pub is everything you...

Redcliffe Leagues Club: Live Music and Good Eats Overshadowed by Arcade Antics Redcliffe Leagues Club served up a mixed bag of experiences on my recent visit. The positives? Warm vibes, friendly staff, and live music creating a lively atmosphere. Plus, the food offered great value, especially with weekly specials and a free salad bar with every meal. My lamb shanks were a melt-in-your-mouth treat, and my son couldn't stop raving about the pizza. The downside? Let's just say the "kids' corner" took a bizarre turn. Instead of the usual play area, rows of arcade machines filled the space, beckoning youngsters with flashing lights and enticing sounds. While technically classified as arcade games, these weren't your typical child-friendly setups. They offered a decidedly different kind of reward, one that felt unsettlingly out of place in a family-oriented environment. My wife's schnitzel was a bit dry, and my daughter's cheeseburger left her unimpressed, but those were minor stumbles compared to the ethical tightrope the club was walking with its arcade-ized kids' zone. Redcliffe Leagues Club has all the makings of a fun casual spot, but the presence of these machines leaves a sour aftertaste. It's a place where lively music and good eats compete with the uncomfortable sight of kids chasing elusive rewards through flashing screens. My verdict? 2.5 stars, and a hope that they reconsider their "arcade" direction in favor of something more suitable for families.
