The good news: it's freakin Taco Bell! The bad news: it's not the same as a Taco Bell in California.
The items are more expensive, including an extra dollar or two when ordering for delivery (actually higher prices, not just a delivery fee). But that might be forgiven since most restaurants in AU are like that. Except that I DON'T forgive them for that.
But the nail in the coffin for this place is the food quality... or more specifically, the lack thereof. The burritos and tacos aren't as "full" as they're supposed to be, and the quesadillas were half cooked. While it was possible to get them to grill the quesadilla longer, it wasn't possible to fix the burritos. Even then, you couldn't bring items that weren't grilled it cooked long enough back to the counter to be cooked longer if you'd order delivery, it even taken away, since you'd be long gone before noticing.
With the burritos we were told that the correct number of "scoops" of each ingredient were used, and that that was just the way it was supposed to be. I attribute this problem to greedy management, not to the folks working in the store, but regardless, it means that you can't get the food you want or expect, and the prices for the food you do get are higher than what it's worth.
Overall, it looks like a Taco Bell, but it's an unsatisfying experience. We've been to other Bells outside the US, Bangkok for example, and while there was some variation, they were like the Taco Bell we all know and love. The Australian Bell experience has just been cost reduced to the point that you can't really like it, let alone love it, and certainly can't endorse it.
It's not just a problem with this particular restaurant, we've tried several of the Bells in AU, both in QLD and VIC, and it feels like management's decisions that have damaged the quality, value, and the brand in general. In the end, it's just a...

1.Frozen Mountain Dew machine was broken
2.I tried the frozen raspberry instead and it tasted like plastic, finally changed it to option 3 the frozen Pepsi which was okay
3.We ordered the family meal and it came in a big brown paper bag as we sat down to eat to find there was no cutlery .It then took 10 minutes to get some cutlery by which time our food was stone cold and it looked and tasted like cardboard.
4.We then deconstructed the quesadilla which looked like vomit and my daughter who brought me to your store with high expectations for our first time to Taco Bell wanted to throw up.
5.We then took the whole bag back to the manager and asked for a refund she told us that we consumed the other items which were half eaten and we could only refund $8 out of $34 for the quesadilla.
So we left with just 4 drinks and an $8 refund and we didn’t ring the bell.
I advise the people of North Lakes to go to the Maccas next store instead of this joint.
By the way before we came we looked at the Taco Bell website only to find there were no prices to anything listed there so we drove out 30km with high expectations only to have a terrible experience. To not only have traumatised my daughter with the taste of quesadilla. When we questioned the manager about the pricing on the website she said we must download the app. Why would I download an app I know nothing about especially after this experience. As a quote of my daughter “If I had to rate this place out of 5 stars this place is negative 5 stars” My daughter was gagging outside the store as we got in the car sick to her stomach about to throw up. I guess if she did it, it wouldn’t look very different from the...
Read moreVery disappointed. I have always loved a veggie burrito from this place but what happened yesterday has really put me off. We ordered two boss burrito meals one vegetarian & one chicken. I also requested both meals to be packed separately but when they came out it was all in the same bag. There were no markings on any food item to determine which one was chicken or vegetarian. So I gave it back to the server to find out the correct ones the food was handed back and the chicken taco & chicken burrito was marked and I assumed the other one was vegetarian but as soon as I took a bite it felt a little odd and I could taste something meaty so I took my vegetarian burrito back to the server and asked him what it was and he then told me it was bean paste and let me tell you I have had veg burrito and never tasted any bean paste before so I took it apart and was shocked to find out that it was actually minced beef. This experience has led me to never come back to your establishment as there is no proper training provided to either servers or the people that make the food. Nothing is marked on the wraps no mature person working in the establishment to make sure all the proper procedures are followed. It’s a disaster waiting to happen serving beef mince to people asking for vegetarian meals. No one has any idea what’s going on...
