Munch Takeaway Café — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Completely quite Sunday afternoon. Ordered coffee. When the staff told another staff member she wasn’t impressed. I looked over and realised the coffee machine had just been cleaned. I left next door for 5 minutes to get nappies for my children and I came back and they had not even started making the coffee? Despite not having a soul in the shop or a single order on the board.

When I asked why she didn’t make my coffee as they clearly have no customers she smirked and did not seem concerned. Then simply said she didn’t feel like making it while I wasn’t there. Tiara. ???

Each time I have been there I have found the staff to only be polite when the boss is there. Otherwise they are always talking or on phones. Often they won’t serve you straight away and will finish having a chat before serving.

I would suggest getting staff that treat customers well and don’t make smirky comments.

I have been holding this bad review off for a while. But the truth is if they continue this poor customer service when the other cafe goes in they...

Paid $65 for chips and 5 pieces of fish. Chips were burnt and didn't receive lemon or chicken salt. Fish was glued to the wrappings when unwrapped. Was told by 1 of the staff the owner will call me about the situation. Didn't receive a call a week later so I called my self and the was told "why would we call you" even though I was told the owner will call me?? and they basically didn't want to take any responsibility for the bad quality food that I was served at their restaurant on that particular day (other times the food was good quality) Use to come to this store regularly but not after today.

Don't treat regular customers this way. If it was $10 I wouldn't care but paying $65 I expect some good quality food. In the end I was offered a replacement for the $8 fries only which isn't even worth driving 25 minutes to pick up considering how I was treating verbally...

I'm sorry, hate to write bad reviews, but when we order a burger without tomato or sauce (due to bad allergies) and it repeatedly comes with it each time. It's bad.

But it's worse when old mate out back...who we have been watching wiping sweat off his forehead with his bare hand and wiping his hands on his dirty pants...then reaches in barehanded and picks out the tomato with his sweat covered fingers and rub off the sauce before putting the burger back together and rewrapping it.

A. Allergies mean traces too, leaving a smear of sauce and tomato juice on there will still trigger them....educate yourselves before you kill someone. B. Educate yourselves as well on basic hygiene and safe food handling practices...because that was not...
