I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Tavern, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled in a charming location, Tavern offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home.

I visited this venue on Sunday with my daughter, Partner and his mum. We were very impressed by the huge playground for kids which made our daughter very happy.

We ordered the food all at the same time. My partner got his meal 20 min later. He finished his food and the rest of us still didn’t get anything. My partner asked the waitress why the wait time was so long. She apologised and offered a free extra meal. My partner ordered pavlova. His desert arrived 2 min later. Still neither our daughter no me no my partners mum didn’t get food. Finally after 45 min of wait food arrived. My chicken was overcooked with burn parts on the side. The food was average.

I don’t mind waiting for pub food and receive all the meal together, but it was very annoying that my partner got food much earlier then us and then he was waiting for a while for us to finish our meal.

We noted, that the place was heavily under staffed with only 1 waitress, 2 bar attendees and another staff member. Everyone were running around like crazy.

Unfortunately, we will not be back despite great location and play centre...

Came to have lunch reluctantly only because Redland Bay Hotel's power was out. Ordered the Surf - Turf. Young guy asked what sauce we wanted, it comes with Garlic prawns, so they have their own sauce, but my husband said mushroom sauce for our chips.

Got our meal, no mushroom sauce! When asked where it was, young man said "oh that's an extra charge".. well why ask us what sauce we wanted??

Salad had a lot to be desired!! My husband got 6 pieces of capsicum in his, I got NONE! Not a tomato in sight in either of the salads, since when does a garden salad not have tomato?? The meat.. well, talk about tough, grisly and just hard to cut, oh that's right, because we weren't given steak knives to start with, but even with the steak knives, it was still like cutting through leather.

The ONLY reason we are giving any stars is because of the lovely barmaid Tayla, she is absolutely beautiful and does her job...
