Place is beautiful as always however, service was terrible. My family and I always enjoy going here and have done several times. Last night however, service was dismal at best. We had booked for three weeks in advance for the garden. When we arrived, we were told the garden was closed off and we would have to sit in the beer garden or inside for formal dining with no explanation as to why it was closed. We ordered our drinks and using the QR code, ordered a Turkish bread and dip entree to which the app told us it would be a 30 min wait time. I was okay with this since we were sitting around drinking. 45 min came around and no entree, bear in mind this is 6 pieces of bread and two dips (unlike the image online). When I went up to ask, a bar man was sarcastic to me but finally brought it. We had also ordered our mains whilst waiting for the entree predicting how long it was going to take to arrive to us. We ordered pizzas and a steak sandwich. The steak sandwich came and our family member had to eat alone whilst we watched her. Asking why we didn’t get the pizzas ; they informed us that they can’t line up the two restaurants at the same time and told us that this was written on the menu. Yes, it was in tiny writing. Had our family member knew that they’d get, eat, and finish their meal prior to everyone getting theirs, they would have ordered something else. The food was luckily, very nice. Then, we ordered desserts to which the menu did not line up with what they actually had in the kitchen or on their register. Simple things that we asked for like having one of our cakes in a takeaway box was brought out on a plate. I was really shocked by lack of hospitality and service. One server did apologise however, a whole series of events just led to a poorly celebrated evening. Do better with your...

I have to leave a poor review as the management did not handle our situation very well, in fact really poorly. We had a birthday table in the restaurant area and ordered a huge variety of drinks and food. I ordered a chop chop salad which doesn’t come with chicken - so I ordered the salad plus extra chicken and extra halloumi (22$+chicken 10$ + halloumi 10$) which I find overpriced to begin with, our birthday friends partner ordered one with extra chicken and extra extra chicken. When we ended up settling the bill the waitress had charged me for 2x extra chicken and 2x extra halloumi where I ended up paying for a salad 62$. After approaching the staff she said she confirmed it with the kitchen that they served me extra extra chicken and halloumi. I had already wondered that the salad was packed with halloumi and Chicken. To confirm it with the staff was almost impossible as since she had taken our orders and after serving she was no where to be found. Confronting about the wrongfully served and charged amount she said - I had taken it on and had to pay for it. 62$ for a salad, which was quite average and the salad leafes were warm… outrages. No normal person spends 62$ for a salad, especially since the entire table of more then 10 people had ordered food and drinks way over 1000$. The manager was to greedy to refund the wrongfully served and charged 20$ extra. For that reason I must give the joint a poor review as that was poorly handled by management not refunding 20$ for over 1000$ spend. Was my first and last time at this place and can only recommend talking to the waiters like toddlers to avoid...

Nice garden bar, good service, horrendous food.

Ordered the chicken noodles, cucumber and asian slaw for $36. The chicken was tender however there was very little of it, four slices total. The scarce chicken was plonked on a bowl of plain rice noodles smothered in thai sauce which was was bland and oily. The sauce was splitting on the plate. Underneath the mess was a suprise piece of boiled bok choy! There was no Asian slaw. I asked our waitress where the Asian slaw was, she said it was on its way after checking with the kitchen. By the end of the meal no slaw had arrived. The maitre d came over to take our plates and asked if we wanted to take the leaftovers away. We politely declined, and menionted the missing slaw and suggested if it were coming not to bother.

We also ordered a chicken parmy. We have never been to a pub that stuffs up a chicken parmy so this was a first. It was smoked, the flavour was overpowering and the chicken had been over cooked to the point where it was tough, chewy and dry.

Our polite feedback was not well received by the maitre d when paying, this attitude was  dissapointing. A $3 discount was applied to the bill.

Upon leaving I saw my small Asian slaw head to our empty table (it was a basic slaw, nothing Asian about it by the looks).

Would not recommend,  just under $100 for a beer, soda and two of the worst meals we have ever had. It was a busy Friday lunch service so maybe we just didn't...

Rose and Crown offers an inviting atmosphere that caters effortlessly to families with kids while also accommodating larger groups in their delightful outdoor area. The evening commenced with Crab and Prawn spring rolls, Arancini balls, and garlic bread were above average, setting a high bar for the rest of the meal. Moving on to the mains, the Chicken Parmigiana stole the show, boasting distinct wood-fire flavors that permeated through the perfectly cooked chicken. It stood out as a clear winner among the choices. Meanwhile, the Twice Cooked Pork Belly, though flavorful, faced a setback with a somewhat chewy and dry texture. The apple sauce's unusual color slightly puzzled us, but it contributed adequately to the overall taste. The Sirloin steak, ordered medium-rare, unfortunately missed the mark due to its chewiness, likely attributed to the cut's lack of marbling. The chimichurri sauce that accompanied it, delivering a burst of fantastic flavors. The Creme Brulee was spectacular. In summary, Rose and Crown provided a memorable evening with its inviting ambiance. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning for another meal.

Had lunch here on Sunday. First time here and wow, what a venue. Had many different areas you can sit at including very nice formal dining room, bar, and al fresco. The meals were very good and we all enjoyed them. Two had the pork roast special which came with a decent slice of rolled pork with to die for crackling. The Yorkshires were some of the best my English wife had tasted and she is very fussy about Yorkshires. She had a steak sandwich which she said was one of the best she has had. We shared a new desert they were trying out which was a chocolate mousse with a pistachio biscuit. i dont normally like mousse but this was very nice and not too sweet which is to my liking. the biscuit was lovely too and not overly sweet. Prices were reasonable and service was good. All in all, it was a wonderful experience in WAs oldest pub. highly recommend you book.

Venue: Great outdoor venue for a tipple. Good range of seating options, and especially loved the giant fire place. That would be fantastic on those cold evenings. Food & Drinks: Great selection of beers and wines, I liked the Ginger Beer myself, but there's plenty options to appease the avid tippler. The food could be better, especially the Cauliflower Tacos (so disappointing). The dirty potatoes were rather good, as were the Salt & Pepper Squid (recommended, but could do with more pepper). Service: The staff were quite efficient and friendly (most anyways). TLDR: Great alfresco place, good beer options, could do with better food, good service
