Cooee coffee Bar — Restaurant in Gundagai

I find it a little challenging to read people sometimes when they are wearing a mask but there was no difficulty here. The woman was very abrupt and inpatient as if she had something better to do, the Centre was empty apart from myself and my husband so you would think she would welcome a sale. I asked for a cuppachino not too hot - it was lukewarm, hubby's was not very hot either and very weak. I asked for a banana bread with no butter, the bread was stale and she had buttered it. Hubby took it back, the woman was on her mobile and was quite annoyed at hubby that she had to put her call on hold, she was talking to a friend. All hubby got was an agruement that I had asked for butter, why would we take it back if I wanted butter and she had buttered it? But she continued to argue that she was right and refused to provide a fresh one. In hindsight, she did me a favour as I did try a corner of it eventually where she had not buttered it and it was like rubber, my guess... about 3 weeks past the use by date. After kindly requesting if the coffee could be remade – I was given a latte instead of a cappuccino, their true personality showed. Apparently in 7 years they had never had a customer complain. (Find it hard to believe)

I was asked if I'd prefer a refund instead of having the coffee fixed (not remade). When I agreed to the refund, I was promptly denied it just so it would make me happy. This I don’t understand. A refund would have made me happy. Not asking if I’d like one then withdrawing the offer. Followed was the most pathetic behaviour I have ever experienced. Coffee ended up everywhere and I was accused for deliberately causing the mess. Absolute filth !!! No mask mandatory at the moment no gloves .I ordered an egg and lettuce sandwich my husband a ham tomato toastie as walking back to my car I could smell something. My husband opened the toastie smell was coming from the ham and it wasn’t even toasted just warm bread I opened the egg lettuce sandwich which was the hardest bread shriveled lettuce was slimy and brown I took mine back in she said I’ll give you another then drove her finger through the packet to check omg !
