Getting to Gundaroo: For Northside residents, just a short scenic drive out of town. Download NSW COVID check in app beforehand - no manual check in available.

Service: Friendly and accommodating staff Cozy fireplace.

Menu: Extra dishes/ specials are available. Can add on oysters and seasonal truffles. Generous serves Great wine list.

Food breakdown: Bread: This was a nice sourdough served with La Barre olive oil and blood plum vinegar. It was very tasty and needs a special mention.

Entree was duck and chestnut terrine, quince and fennel. The duck had a strong gamey flavour, but it was balanced by sour pickled fennel ( which also had fennel seeds). The quince purée was also quite nice.

For mains, I had Black Angus beef flank, garden herb butter, Pont neuf potatoes and fried garlic salt. Can't go wrong with beef, it was perfectly cooked. The potatoes were soft and fluffy.

Dessert was Candied blood orange Tarte Tatin, white chocolate ice-cream, walnut and citrus caramel. This is a dream dessert for lovers of puff pastry. Overall, the food was very traditionally prepared and hearty...

We were married at Grazing in 2015. Kurt, Tanya and the team provided exceptional customer service throughout the planning stage and the experience on the day went beyond our expectations.

Everything was well organised, the service was impeccable and the venue hard to beat. Many of our guests still maintain that the food was the best they've experienced at any wedding!

The value for money is unbeatable, especially compared to the Sydney wedding market (where we are based) - you could not get food, wine and service for that price tag and expect anything near the quality. Kurt and Tanya also treat you like one of a kind rather than simply one of the many couples they likely deal all the time for weddings.

We have eaten at the restaurant since then and were surprised by complimentary champagne and a quick visit from Kurt to say hi. This again demonstrates the ongoing commitment to the customer experience at Grazing.

Can't rate more highly - if you're in the area this...

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is excellent. The tasting menu with matching wines is a good choice for those who can't decide what the eat. However, each dish on the main menu has a matching wine as well. Definitely worthwhile. The serves are sufficient so you leave feeling sated not bloated or hungry. The service is 5 star. Exceedingly helpful but not intrusive. When the waiter says he has tried every dish and wine, believe him. His knowledge is exceptional. Excellent communication between Front of House staff and kitchen means never having long waits between courses. Even with a full restaurant you will never hear the words "who ordered the......" The rooms are cosy with three or four tables each. Surprisingly little noise transfer between function room and the rest of the restaurant. Great place for a romantic dinner. Particularly in winter with the open fire places. Stay in town overnight and avoid a drive home so you can truly enjoy...

Superb meal in Gunderoo Located in a charming old building, dining here felt like you were in someone’s home. Service was warm, welcoming & friendly whilst recognising all the covid protocols. The menu was sufficiently varied with a set degustation menu as well as option to do a 2 or 3 course meal from quite a varied selection. The wine list was a good representation of wines of the Yass Valley area & reasonably priced. The food was delicious - they also offered extra starter dishes (at a further charge) not on the menu. Merrimbula oysters with miso & burnt butter sauce was outstanding - freshly shucked oysters still retained flavours of the sea but enhanced by the sauce. The food in general was delicious - appetisers were all good & the mains of fish (in curry) & beef flank was delicious. If you are in the area - highly recommend (worth the drive over Canberra!). Reservations essential.

Excellent! Food was fresh, beautiful and flavourful. Had been a few times and my favourite from my most recent visit was their kingfish ceviche with cauliflower and fennel! Also loved their local wine and they have own cellar, a function room, cute veggie patch and vineyard outside. On top of the amazing food, wine and service, the restaurant is also very picturesque surrounded by cherry blossom trees in spring. Grazing is really worth going to!
