Dear HJ management, I am regretfully writing to you with immense disappointment. This is only the 2nd time in over 30 years I've had to give negative feedback. Yesterday, the assistant manager Stacey served my wife & I. The app was playing up and Stacey didn't show any concern only 'we have nothing to do with that. Anyway, we placed our order after a few attempts. I wanted to confirm it had been received. Stacey was training and being rather rude to a new employee. She responded by tapping the screen as if I should be able to see from metres away the order was obviously there. Once my wife's order arrived they incorrectly gave her a grilled chicken Instead of a whopper. When we brought it to Stacey's attention, her response was to tell off the new employee in front of everyone! Again very rude and ethically wrong Infront of staff & customers. As we proceeded to eat our chips, we were very disgusted to find some kind of thread in the packet... When we showed this to Stacey, she rudely said what do you want me to do ? I don't know where that came from? She offered no solution, only that we were lucky to get large chips because of the mix-up with the wrong order. Again, no apology, just attitude. Extremely disappointed. We didn't want new chips. I feel extremely sorry for the staff who are treated condescendingly and am sad that this store has a terrible reputation of no customer service due Stacey's lack of customer service and wrong attitude. I sincerely hope she can work on these lacking...
Read moreCame here for the first time a couple weeks ago and got a drive thru order that we had to wait for in the parking lot for it to arrive. Saw the girl come out of the shop, she took 2 steps, looked for all of 3 seconds and went back inside. I waited thinking she would come back but after 10mins I went inside, found them on the bench. I went to grab them and a guy just said "drinks for outside?" And that was it. Tried again the other day and the burger was good but again the drinks were stuffed up and the girls didn't seem to know what was going on. They couldn't confirm the original order when I double checked and just said yes it was what I had ordered. But it wasn't. Frustrating when the food isn't cheap anymore, and for the watery and full of ice coffees to be so dear for 3/4 cup ice and a tiny bit of milk. Disappointing. Ended up saying we won't go back and instead get our coffees down the street now. It's a shame also when all the workers spend more time chatting about their personal lives and gossiping, and totally ignore the customers except when telling them to tap their card. Most of us have worked customer service in our teens before and if I did that at my job I would have been sacked. Especially when it's more than one occasion and each time I've been there, rather than a...
Read moreOur first visit to the Gympie Hungry Jack's was a disappointing experience. The store was busy, but no busier than other fast food restaurants in the area - however it took over 30 minutes to order and receive our food. Unfortunately, all the attention seemed to be focussed on the drive through customers, leaving the walk in customers wondering where their orders were and observing the general lack of efficiency of the operation. The food was not particularly great either. I understand that it's fast food and if I want a nice proper burger I should go somewhere more upmarket, but if I'm waiting 15-20 minutes for a simple burger and chips from a fast food restaurant, I expect them to have some element of freshness. Instead I was served a burger with one small piece of tomato, three small pieces of lettuce and soggy, over salted chips. Overall, all I ever really expect from a fast food restaurant is fast service and average food that is convenient on long road trips, however this store...
