The special fried rice had HEAPS of meat in it but the rice itself was a little gluggy and fairly bland. What would have been an ok dish though, was really let down by the lack of any fresh vegetables at all!! I saw 3-4 pieces of yummy grated (fresh?) carrot, but the only other vegetables in the dish were frozen mixed vegetables (peas, corn kernels and cubes of carrot - yuk and inauthentic). I couldn't believe it when I couldn't even find any fresh onion!! This was a huge disappointment as the shop clearly has a wide range of fresh refrigerated ingredients including veges and meats on display. Read moreStumbled upon this restaurant on a whim. We were greeted upon entry by the chef who was very polite and patient as he waited for us to choose our order. Ordered, and he immediately began making it COMPLETELY FRESH, basically right in front of us (you can see the kitchen from the dining area). We realised one of our drinks was expired, and the chef allowed us to swap without hesitation. The food came out within about 10 minutes, one plate after the other. The portion sizes were HUGE, well worth the money. 5/5...
Read morePretty ordinary cuisine here, the entrees were ok (Spring rolls and Pork Dumplings). The Singapore noodles were a cheap imitation of the real thing. A lot of places do this now to save money and undercut customers.
They use different noodles and instead of using pork they put in tofu and a lot of vegetables. Real singapore noodles do not look yellow either and are served with Prawns, pork and sprinkled with sesame seeds (not tofu!). If you see anyone serving you this then they are ripping...
