Overall Impression Zero81 Napoli Ristorante and Pizzeria offers an outstanding culinary experience that beautifully combines authentic Italian flavors with a stunning beachside location. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed with the quality of food, service, and atmosphere, despite one minor area for improvement regarding ambient noise levels. This restaurant truly stands out as a premier dining destination in the Kingston Beach area, delivering exceptional value and memorable meals that keep guests returning.
Detailed Food Experience Perfectly Cooked Eye Fillet Steak. The 600-gram eye fillet steak I ordered was nothing short of spectacular. Cooked to absolute perfection with a beautifully seared exterior that gave way to a juicy, tender interior, the steak demonstrated the kitchen's expertise with premium cuts. The seasoning was expertly balanced, allowing the natural flavor of the high-quality meat to shine through without being overwhelmed. This dish easily ranks among the best steaks I've enjoyed at any Italian restaurant .
Authentic Italian Offerings While my steak was exceptional, Zero81's menu showcases a wide range of traditional Italian dishes that maintain authenticity while appealing to contemporary tastes. The restaurant has built a strong reputation for its authentic Neapolitan pizza 🍕 and delicious handmade pasta, both of which are prepared with obvious skill and attention to detail.
The service staff at Zero81 deserves special recognition for their contribution to the overall dining experience.
The restaurant's beachside location provides a breathtaking backdrop for any meal, with stunning views of Kingston Beach creating a serene and picturesque dining environment.
Constructive Feedback While the overall experience at Zero81 was exceptional, the noise level within the restaurant did present a minor distraction during my visit.
The implementation of acoustic panels or other sound-absorbing materials would significantly enhance the dining atmosphere without compromising the restaurant's aesthetic appeal. Strategic placement of these elements would help mitigate noise reflection while maintaining the establishment's stylish decor.
Final Recommendation and Rating Without hesitation, I would highly recommend Zero81 Napoli Ristorante and Pizzeria to anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience with exceptional food quality and service.
I award Zero81 Napoli Ristorante and Pizzeria a rating of 5 out of 5 stars, reflecting the excellent quality of the food and service. This restaurant truly deserves its positive reputation and represents one of the best Italian dining experiences in Tasmania .
Whether you're visiting for a special occasion or simply looking to enjoy a quality meal, Zero81 promises an experience that will exceed your expectations. I will certainly be returning to sample more of their menu offerings and to introduce friends and family to this remarkable...
Read moreI've got to share something pretty messed up that happened at Zero 81. So, I'm still getting the hang of driving with my P plates on, right? I parked in front of the restaurant, thinking it was okay since I saw other cars parked there before too. But then, this older guy from the restaurant comes storming out, totally bypassing me and starts laying into my friend with some really nasty words – and my friend's Asian. The thing is, it was me who parked the car, not him. He was just my friend sitting in my car, he did not park, did not drive, did nothing wrong! We tried to say sorry, but this guy wasn't having any of it and kept on threatening and throwing racist comments at my friend, who did nothing wrong.
We moved the car and decided to let the restaurant know what happened, but when we tried to go back, the chef blocked us and said the guy had left – which was a lie because we found out he was just hiding in the bathroom. We even had a recording of the whole thing! The guy did come back out to apologize like a million times when he realized we had evidence, but the restaurant staff were trying to cover up for him, making it hard for us to do anything about it.
I used to love this place, grabbing ice cream, pizza, and pasta here all the time. But after seeing them back up someone being racist and trying to hide it? Nah, I'm done. I've put the word out on social media too because I don't want anyone else, especially if they're Asian, to go through what my friend did. It's...
Read moreWe came here for the first time very exited. With all the great reviews it seemed like a safe choice.
BOTH MAINS RESEMBLED MICROWAVE MEALS
We ordered the "Polipo alla griglia" grilled octopus as and entree. It was presented as one big tentacle on a plate. The presentation was very off puting. No effort to make it look presentable. It was tough and chewy, nothing like other good octopus we have tried.
For mains we ordered a serve of "Tagliatelle al ragu’ d’agnello". Presentation was a little better. The Taste was bland. Only tasting of tomato and lamb mince. The pasta was dry and hard to swallow. It was a big serve which normally would be great, but given how bland and simple the taste was, made it hard to get through.
We also ordered "Involtini di pollo". The chicken was dry as a bone, no juice at all. It was hard to chew and even harder to swallow. The dry prosciutto wrapped around it added to the dryness. The mash potatoes were the only nice thing on the plate.
The service was great however. Attentive waiters who were polite and well presented.
When asked how the food was we explained as above, but no compensation or any effort to look into it further was offered.
Having racked up a bill of $98.00 for three items, and not being impressed by the food at all, we made no hesitation in getting up to pay and leave, with no intention of coming back or recommending to friends.
Incredibly...
