Thai Boupha — Restaurant in Ipswich City

Very disappointed. .I read the reviews which gave 4.8 stars rating SO placed a large order to be picked up and was looking forward to PEN YANG (boneless ROAST duck) expecting melt in the mouth succulent duck..but what I got instead was dry, shriveled , bits and pieces of what looked like leftovers that were definitely overcooked. .at the cost of $23.. what a ripoff!! I rang within a half hour to complain about the quality of the duck but was told by the woman on the phone who was non apologetic and could care less , that customers like it that way..(In other words I am the one who has the problem) She said that she would pass my comments on to the chef.. big deal I still paid good money for duck that looked like a customers leftovers. . I told her that my family had just moved to this area and we were really happy to have a Thai restaurant nearby we could go to regularly. .so let me just say my family and I wont be coming back for seconds If you go to this place don't order duck !! Signed....

Our family have been going to Thai Boupha for many years. Why? Service - the staff are friendly, welcoming and understand the meaning of great customer service. Food - is fresh, full of flavour and is brought to your table promptly. We've never, ever had to wait longer than 15mins for our food. Even when the place is packed. Overall experience - tonight we booked a birthday dinner at an alternative restaurant and ended up having to leave. We turned up to Thai Boupha without a reservation. We were greeted with a smile and within 15mins we were drinking, laughing and enjoying our entrees. This was a special birthday and we couldn't be more appreciative for their welcoming service and empathy towards our situation. I so wish that I could write a wonderful review.... However, tonight I purchased a King Prawn Pad Thai to take away. I was stunned when I paid $30.50 for the meal. However after an exhausting day, I consoled myself with the belief that at least I was going to be eating a delicious, fresh, meal..... How very wrong I was... There were 3 stale, battered prawns on top of a very disgusting pad thai heap of noodles... I'm just praying that I don't get sick, because I have 2 family members and a dog to care for, along with preparing for a possible Cyclone.... So very sad and disappointing that there appears to be no where at all in the area to purchase a decent meal.... Huge...
