the place isnt much to look at, but the food , coffee and the service was fantastic. i highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area.
My wife and I were on our way to the local smash room so we decided to go here for breakfast and we were not disappointed. the prices were reasonable, especially for the serving sizes. i got the yard big breakfast and my wife got the smoked salmon stack, we both got decaf lattes on oat milk with vanilla.
the service was so friendly, greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. the food was fresh, it looked to be done by a husband and wife team and the food came out at a relatively timely pace, it was fresh, tasty and delicious. the highlight of the meal of the big breakfast was definitely the chutney which was fresh and tangy and delicious. the fritters on the stack were moist and delicious and the salmon was very fresh.
everything was amazing and its really hard to find decaf coffee thats good but theirs definitely was and they didn't overdo it on the vanilla.
we will definitely be back here...
Read moreHugly missed opportunity! Dirty tables, both inside and outside. No hello or good bye. Staff member very slow to acknowledge I was there to begin with.. Looked up at me like he was having "one of those days". Slightly overpriced food for the quality. Coffee was presented in wrong cup, some tables inside didn't have sugar and had cardboard dividers for the storage containers. Had the eggs Benedict, which had them runny the way I like, but was presented warm, (perhaps better timing required in the kitchen as to have everything presented hot??) Silence and awkward would describe the atmosphere, like I felt like an inconvenience to the staff member for simply turning up. Plus the staff constantly chatting on his phone..
Unsure of how to recommend this cafe. I was the only person in the whole place apart from the one staff member and I left feeling what has happened to the cafe culture in Ipswich??? Is it truly this poor now??
Would not recommend at present state, the upkeep of the carpark was very poor. Very unlikely to...
Read moreThe two stars are for the food as it was fine. That was the only positive. The place itself is dirty and untidy with tables and chairs not set out. I had to go home and wash my hair and clothes as they smelt like smoke from the kitchen. The entire cafe fills with the kitchen smoke. We ordered French toast that was $20 and eggs on toast for about $19. After ordering we were told they couldn’t make the French toast as they didn’t have some ingredients needed for it so instead offered us pancakes that we realised after leaving was only $13. No change was very offered to us. My 13 year old daughter and I attended for an early Mother’s Day breakfast on Saturday and when we got there at 11:30, we were the only people there. Another family came a short time later and were turned away as they were told the kitchen was closed despite the opening times stating 1:00pm. While we are out breakfast the female staff members were talking amongst themselves and swearing. Not at all trying to be discreet. Never will return as not a...
