Karuah Pizzeria — Restaurant in Karuah

Called in the other day to try there pizza, was pleasantly surprised by the whole layout - concrete benches, covered outdoor service, the place is really impressive, however the pizza was a bit of a let down as I was expecting better...! Ordered super supreme $30 only one size which was dinner plate round ( too small ) toppings were fresh but sparse & dominated with multi colored capsicum to compensate, was suppose to have anchovies but must have been swimming in a different pond ? The pizza dough was fresh & tom/base was nice. This place needs to decide whether it's a pizzeria or a general takeaway shop, I know things are tough and shop owners are trying to cover all bases to make ends meet, but commit & back yourself to create the best pizzeria you can be, I can assure you people will come from far & wide if you have a great product & take the detour just taste that...

Ordered 6 pizzas last night. Pretty unhappy with the pizzas for wood fire. The only pizza that tasted good was the Ring of Fire. The pizza dough was pretty sub par overall.

The toppings were not thought out at all. The satay was doused in satay sauce, the garlic prawn pizza had weirdly yellow and green cheese, the pepperoni pizza had cheese ontop of the pepperoni, the garlic bread was just really oily bread and had no garlic taste, even the cheapest garlic bread at woolies or coles generally tastes better and isn’t dripping with oil.

Pretty disappointing and they were the only thing open so they’ve pretty much captured the market delivering below average pizzas. They really need to head into a major city and see what people are doing for the same price. Honestly I’m not angry I’m just...

This place has so much going for it: an actual wood fire pizza oven! but just terrible execution. The pizza needs to be rotated regularly in the oven to ensure a proper cook. The dough needs more refinement (higher hydration). The ingredients are pretty average but if you want to cut costs, this is the way to do it 🤷‍♂️. Pepperoni goes on top of the cheese.

Ring of fire pizza was the best - ours had a proper cook in the oven and decently spicy. If I were to do this again, I would get 5 ring of fires.

Also the “garlic bread” is terrible. You should be ashamed, it was not garlicy, just two slices with butter on it. Shame on you for selling...
