Henry & Rose — Restaurant in Keith

Yesterday on 11the feb2018, we had been to the cafe for brunch. We ordered chicken classic burgern other stuff. The order was prepaid. Of this the burger and chips costing $17 was missing an item...caramalised onion. When my husband realized it he complained the staff about missing item as it was making the burger quite bland. So one of the staffs said it's been added in the pesto...however my husband said there is as no pesto at all n the menu description...n then she said that her kitchen staff was not sure n refunded us $2 towards missing item....what a shame!!! Is this the way to treat a customer? ????We found it quite derogatory n when we finished eating and about to leave...I had a talk with the same staff..on which she admitted that it was her kitchen staff fault n they never informed her about their mistake....🙄🙄🙄🙄 I told her that your kitchen staff will never inform you about mistake it's only customers can point it out...n you should either produce fresh item or refund the entire amount....not mere sorry n point out your kitchen staff...but to my surprise she was not at all interested in listening (n why would she be as she has already received her money. ) what am telling her n walked on to other customer on counter to take order. I kept her $2 on the counter n left the cafe...forever... What a shameful way of treating...

Always stop here for Coffee and sometimes food when I am driving from Adelaide to Melbourne. Both are great. It can be difficult to get a decent coffee, these Women can make a Coffee and are really nice people. I ordered an espresso, it came in a takeaway cup& lid. When they realised I was going to drink it in house they were very apologetic about assuming it was a takeaway and replaced it with a freshly made cup. Very impressive. Then I was asked if I would like to also have the takeaway so it wasn't wasted. I accepted, poured it in the cup after I had finished the first one. Each coffee came with a complimentary chocolate and I was provided with a sparkling water. This was done with genuineness and very relaxed. It was a great experience. I appreciated it, particularly as I do not enjoy my coffee in cardboard and certainly not with a plastic lid. For great, warm & genuine customer service, plus good coffee & food it is worth visiting, stopping in Keith. I don't understand the township having a Landrover on a Pole. The pie and sauce was tasty, and the bottle of Pump water lived up to expectations. The illegality of a large sign inside the shop insisting they will NOT accept cash was confronting. I paid by card without comment but afterwards did ask how many cases they have had locally, which was zero. The person I was travelling with also made comment about the lack of cases in SA in general. And then made a joke as a result of the lack of cases, tongue in cheek about "superspreading" . All while smiling and clearly joking. This was met with a comment from the server saying that essentially with that attitude she would rather we never came in at all. The woman serving may have been having a rough day, we all do, however I do hope that if she is the owner, her day tomorrow is better as I'm sure customers would prefer a happier disposition, less illegal insistance over cash payments and perhaps a friendlier face over school holidays while the whole country is being encouraged to get out and support local business during these...
